Large space with good insulation.
I bought this shanty because I have kids and wanted more room for us and our gear. For this reason its been great. The shanty sets up and takes down fast and easy and has plenty of space inside for everything. It stays up well in the wind when set up properly and retains the heat well too. The bag it comes in is nice and big. Which id nice when you are packing it.Things I dont like.Its heavy! Not unbearably heavy,but when you’re dragging it in a sled you’ll know its there. I plan to buy a smaller lighter one for solo fishing.The stitching could be better quality. One of the anchor points where the ice stakes go through completely ripped off and the poles for that corner clapsed. I just stitched it back together and made it stronger ,but I can see how that would piss someone off.The cord it comes with for the ice stakes is not good quality. I grabbed a set of tie straps and just keep them in the bag with the shanty.If you like sight fishing this doesn’t work well. Its not a black out so the sun comes right through and lights the shanty up. At night with lights on inside it lights up pretty good. Like a big camping tent. My good friend has a shanty that lets no light through during the day and thats much better for sight fishing.Hope this was helpful.

Worth the money
I got the shack for overnights on the ice and this one worked great. My only complaint are the anchor tabs are on the inside rather than having the grommets on the skirt on the outside. The inside tabs are not attached great either, i had 3 rip off and my shack blew across the lake, luckily there was no damage to the shack. It stayed very warm with my heater on 9000 BTU and a ton of space. I ended up ordering a $25 grommet kit so i can put them all around the skirt to prevent wind from getting under it. Even including the price of the grommet kit definitely worth the price!

I ordered this for use not only for ice fishing but as a cigar smoking tent for the winter time. The fabric used to make this tent is great. It is highly durable and resists fading in the sun. The fabric is tear and scratch resistant to a high degree and it is also easy to clean. Just spraying it with my garden hose gets it looking like new. Setup is very easy and literally takes 30 seconds. The frame is made of fiberglass rods that flex very well and resist cracking or breaking. I have set up and taken down this tent daily since I received it and it is still like new. The space is large enough for up to two people to comfortably fit. I would absolutely order this tent again and would highly recommend it. Easy five star rating.

Bought this to use as an outdoor smoking tent on my porch during the winter months here in Michigan. It has held up great so far. It keeps the wind and snow off you and stays relatively warm if in direct sunlight. One suggestion would be to make sure you use the tie downs. We didnât at first and the wind carried it away because of how light it was. Can be a little tricky at first to set up but watch a YouTube video and itâs pretty easy. Would buy again and recommend to anyone, either for smoking or to actually ice fish with.

Item came with twisted posts.
Apon trying to open the tent for the first time one side of the tent was twisted. After struggling to get it open I realized that the legs on the side were out into the wrong holders. Because of this the entire side was twisted, as shown in the picture. When trying to open it as well one of the legs exploded and caused fiberglass to go everywhere.The tent itself is well constructed and while trying to fix it from the inside i can say it is very warm. The tent would have been easy to open had it been manufactured properly.Would love to be able to use the tent but was sent a defective item.

Great tent
I purchased this a few years ago and thought I had already reviewed it. I purchased for a reason that it wasn’t meant to be used for. I smoke cigars & it gets a little cold here in VA in the winter months so I purchased this so that I could smoke cigars on my deck during the winter months w/o being exposed to the elements. It worked great for that! Easy to set up and take down. 2 windows that allowed me to have air flow. I anchored it in the ground w/the supplied spikes that worked really well. For the price this was well worth it.

All in all it’s an ok set up. It is not waterproof so if it rains or snows you are out of luck. Rain seeps through the housing fabric and through both windows. The zipper is really tight an feels like it will break eventually. For being around $50 it is what it is. FYI If your taller than 5’5″ you can not stand upright inside the tent.

Decent shanty for the price
It is super easy to set up and take down, i would recommend getting it in any other color than red though because when the sun hits it it turn everything on the inside of the shanty red as well, when i took it oht the first time i noticed thst the pockets were starting to pull away from the canvas. But over all i would highly recommend this to anyone whos looking for a shanty that dosnt weigh alot or who is just getting into ice fishing or dose it casually and doesn’t want to spend a whole lotta money on there setup right away! Plus it is also easy to store, when its all folded up its just a little bit bigger than a folding lawn chair.
