    Simply Amazing
This is one of my favorite knives ever made in my opinion. Not only cause of the bargain price, simply cause its a fantastic knife.Pros:- The 420 HC steel is soft and can retain a working edge in no time. The serrated edge on this knife is my favorite out of any and Im personally not a huge fan of serrations, but it can cut through just about anything and never lose its sharpness. The tip of the knife which im picky about does not fracture easy and will last forever if you do not abuse it.- The handle feels amazing in your hand and can fit in any hand generally speaking. It does not get slippery what so ever when wet- The sheathe is wonderful and wish all my knives had a sheathe of this caliber (even though not made in the US). It has 2 securement straps on it which are not necessary cause the blade locks in the sheathe wonderfully. Also it has so many different straps on the back to secure it to your body or belt in any way possible.- The full tang blade tip (at the end) that works as a lanyard placement, also works GREAT to bust through glass or anything of that nature.- The weight is absolutely perfect and balanced for a knife of its size, probably one of the best weight ratios ive ever felt in a knife.- This knife can take just about any kind of abuse you can throw at it.Cons:- The 420 HC can lose its edge rather quickly, compared to harder steels out there, but then again its so easy to re sharpen it makes up for it.- The black paint on the blade will wear off over time, if you actually use this blade daily, yet this is purely a cosmetic complaint and does not impact the performance what so ever.Overall :Gerber has made an amazing knife at an amazing price. This is probably one of my favorite knives ever bar none. Its got everything you look for in a knife and then some. You WILL NOT find a better deal at a better price. I would recommend this knife for any person looking for a great fixed blade and thats comparing to ANY maker of knives – yes its that good.

Good job Gerber!! High value at a reasonable price.
Out of the box, the blade was sharp enough to shave my forearm. It’s a good weight — not very heavy and feels incredibly solid for its size. The grip material is very comfortable and gives you a good grip on the knife even in wet conditions. The 90 degree spine will throw a shower of sparks from a ferro rod and the 90 degree spine also assists in making great tender in the form of very fluffy shavings. The serrations on the knife work very well at cutting any type of cordage or rope you need it to cut. The serrations are also capable of making very thin feather sticks which is something that came as a shock to me. The great debate rages on about serrations or no serrations, but in my humble opinion the serrations on this knife are a plus. The 420 steel used in this knife seems to hold a edge very well, and seems to be durable. I did engage the serrations during batoning and found none of them bent or damaged afterwords. The way I tested the knife was I went out in the rain and attempted to make a fire with just my prodigy and a ferro rod. In order to get to the dry wood I needed to split a bigger piece of wood in order to get to the dry wood on the inside. After getting to the dry wood inside I used the 90 degree spine to make a large pile of fuzzy shavings. I then used the Prodigy to baton smaller pieces of kindling from the dry wood on the inside. Once my fire prep was completed I was able to use the 90 degree spine to shower sparks from my ferro rod into the fuzzy shavings and ignite them. The knife performed all of these tasks very well and I am very pleased with its performance. Good job Gerber.I will give further updates as I continue to test the knife.

    A ” truly ” ultimate knife
So I have been using this knife for a few days now and so far I haven’t found one thing about this blade that I don’t like I bought it for a survival go bag that I am packing and as far as blades go this is one the sharpest , sturdier blades that I have had the pleasure to own I wish I had this blade when I was in the army . It’s performance and added features truly elevate this blade to its namesake the “ultimate” survival knife so far it has lived up to that I’m very hard on equipment/ tools etc. This blades quality is unparalleled especially for its budget friendly price point . Another thing I really like about this knife is its grip and added features like a fero rod , and knife sheets that also has a very handy blade sharpening stone mounted to the back of the sheeth . I highly recommend this knife for any outdoorsman , survivalist , etc. This blade is made of high grade steel to ensure its strength and sharpness.

Other than the obvious good quality, it has a handy fire starter and sharpener built in. It shows Gerber’s military heritage with a hard sheath which locks the blade securely but can be drawn silently and effortlessly with one hand. I’ll never need to sneak up and kill a man… but with this knife I could. I’ll never be without a match… but with this knife I don’t need one.

this knife is a must buy for any camper, hunter or day to day.I have attached the sheath to my MOLLE Rush 12 back pack. The sheath could be a little better, but it still does the job. This knife is tough and the blade was razor sharp when I bough it in July. Since then we have gone camping with it and it cuts through objects without issue. The handle is rubberized and is solid.Buy this knife and with a little care, it will last you forever.

If you’re looking for a reliable, durable knife for outdoor adventures, the Bear Grylls Camping Knife is definitely worth considering. As a longtime fan of Bear Grylls and his survival gear line, I had high expectations, and I’m happy to report that this knife meets most of them—and then some. The first thing you’ll notice about this knife is its rugged, military-inspired design. The handle is made from a textured rubber material, which provides a solid, non-slip grip—even when your hands are wet or muddy. The knife feels sturdy in the hand, with a well-balanced weight that makes it comfortable for both light tasks and more intensive use.
