The fact is these rod holders are built to last. No plastic, all metal construction. Two solid metal shafts with sharp points will secure the holder in the dirt, or sand. Come on, lets go fishing.

Be careful when looking at the images as they don’t show that you’re ordering two when that’s automatically what is selected when you do “buy now” as your option.They show three pieces on the main image. False leading to the belief that there would be 3 pieces to be shipped out, when you’re only going to receive two.Other than this crappy marketing technique. It’s still a good value, even with being $9 per rod holder. We’ve been out a few times with the and they hold the rod really well and allow you to hammer them into the ground easily with a good sized rock or a mallet for hard ground.Overall I’m still pretty happy with this, it’s still very adjustable and it feels like it’s of a pretty dang good build quality.One thing that I think is important to address as a great feature, is being able to pull back on the rod while it’s still in the holder. So you can still set the line without having to waste critical time pulling it out of the holder first, something that is not easy when you land a monster on the line.Overall, I’m still quite happy with this, dispite the poor image selection for the product (a crappy tactic some companies use), and the packaging was falling apart due to there only being cardboard being expected to safely hold in a pretty hefty rod holder. Where it has room to slide around and damage the box.

Not the best if you want accurate placement of your rod. The adjustments are a bit flimsy and never stay in the exact position you want to tighten. I set the angle I want it to be and tighten, and it falls to the next level down. It will hold the rod in place, but not the place you want. The material is sturdy and will last a long time, so there’s at least that. I’ll be keeping these as backups.

I purchased the fishing pole holders because of the way they were built and for the various rod angles they had. The angle adjustment takes a little getting used to and the nut that holds the angle can be somewhat difficult to loosen, but the holders turn heads when other fishermen see them.
