We live in South Georgia and keep these on our porch. While they work well when lit, they do not store well in the heat. The wax melts and they get very oily. They do light quick and last a long time despite this.

Damaged packaging
I bought a different citronella candle on Amazon last summer and loved it but I thought Iâd take a chance on this one because this box of 3 was so much cheaper. As you can see from the pictures, the box and candles all had a waxy film on them. The candle themselves are ok. The scent wasnât as strong as the other one I bought. Not sure how effective they are at keeping bugs away. I will pay more for the other brand when these are done. My original plan was to give one of the 3 candles away as a hostess gift but the damaged labels make then unsuitable to give.
