Extra Storage Galore!
As much as I like this bucket caddy, my back likes it WAY more.Typically, when I go surf fishing, I will set up a couple of lines like everyone else, but I really prefer to roam about a bit with a backpack and a small, lightweight spinning rod. The great thing about this caddy is that I can now unload a lot of the bulk that you have to carry, but don’t necessarily need immediately on hand (lead sinkers, most terminal tackle, extra spools of line, etc.). I now leave anything that isn’t absolutely essential in the moment stored in the caddy, making my backpack light as a feather, which in turn makes my day far more pleasant. Thankfully the caddy has tons of storage with more than a dozen pockets, most zipped, some with mesh lining, others with waterproof lining. There are pockets specifically designed for pliers and line cutters, segmented pockets for lures, and plenty of loops to hook on anything from extra rods to a rubber mallet to drive sand spikes. In other words, this was clearly designed by someone who actually fishes and has a good idea of what folks are likely to want/need. The material is a rip-resistant 900 denier polyester and should hold up well under abuse. The four metal hooks help to ensure that the bucket bears most of the load, while the adjustable strap makes sure you get a tight wrap/grip. And you will definitely be thankful for the padded handle at the end of the day.Overall this caddy is well made, well thought out, and can be an absolute game changer, depending on how you use it. For me, the asking price is more than worth it for the reduction in back pain alone! Highly Recommended!

This is a great idea!
This is a great idea! I know lots of fisherman who use 5-gallon buckets for various things when they go fishing. It seems like the buckets are always around. This organizer turns your 5-gallon bucket into a tackle bag, while also making it easy to carry your bucket as well. It adds lots of storage space to your bucket, making it unnecessary for you to carry a separate tackle bag if you plan properly.

Not the best for saltwater fishing rods
I like that this bucket organizer has a bunch of pockets, straps, and places to hook things on to. Although, it’s not great if you have fishing rods taller than 7 ft. This would be better for freshwater fishing than it is for saltwater due to the size and weight of the poles. It barely held on to my 10ft pole which has a long handle and the only thing holding the bucket down was having a bunch of lead in there as well as some other supplies that didn’t fit in the pockets. Other than that, it’s made pretty well and is durable.

Well made and rugged
I strapped this onto a 5 gallon bucket with a 1″ hole cut into the snap on lid. I used a submersible battery operated pump with a shower attachment for a mobile 5 gallon shower. This was a big help at the beach keeping sand off of items it doesn’t belong. The bucket caddy holds the shower head and accessories as well as a small bottle of dish soap. There is a huge amount of storage places for fishing gear or other smaller to medium size items. The dog shampoo will likely be here too soon. My wife intends to put our sunscreen and microfiber towels and alcohol wipes in the pockets. It has stayed on the bucket pretty well – we used it for about 7 hours on Saturday and are happy with it for sure. I think the gray will hold up well to the sun and elements better than other colors would.

An interesting alternative to a tackle bag/box.
I’ve known very good fishermen who have used a 5 gallon bucket in lieu of a tackle bag, and they made it work very well. This Fishing Bucket Organizer just takes things to a different level. (If you know the staff at a local cafe, and they’re familiar with you, you can probably get them to give you one of the 5 gallon buckets in which pickles are delivered to them. Most of them just end up in the trash or recycle bin.) This organizer gives you lots of options. I imagine that the rod holders are more useful to bank anglers than to those in boats or canoes. The side pockets really enhance its versatility as do the “D” rings. The flap with grommets to hold lures seems very clever to me. I do have some quibbles, though. the hooks by which the organizer is suspended in place appear a bit haphazard to me and of poor design. Also, the carrying straps seem a bit redundant, if not a nuisance, too. The buckets original handle would be a better option in my opinion. Lastly, if someone were looking for a less expensive alternative to a tackle bag, this organizer misses the mark by a bit. At its current price, I’m not sure of the value. (Although, for bank anglers, this may not be as true. It could be a great alternative for them.)
