Very nice, sweet Christmas story
I love holiday stories, and this one was very sweet. The characters are really good people, the kind of people you’d want to be your friends. I loved how Jack was so understanding and patient, and I admired Emma’s spirit and can-do attitude. Emma’s kids are so lovable too! There’s a little bit of drama in here, but not a lot, and I really enjoyed reading this book. I also loved reading about people unselfishly helping others. If you like Christmas stories, you’ll like this book!

A really sweet, clean story
I loved this story. What can I say; Leanna Morgan hits another one out of the park with this sweet, clean story set in my favorite setting of all time. The town, the Christmas scene, the whole array of generous helping hands, willing and ready to help do what ever it took to pull off this magical Christmas for the town and their residents. I love it all!!! I could easily picture the whole thing in my mind. The kids were so adorable, that it made me want to pick them up and hug them, so tightly. Emma and Jack were a perfect match if ever there was one. Jack was like a prince the way he swooped in and helped out like he’d always been part of the town. I hope one day pastor John find his own HEA. He so deserves it. In a way I felt bad for Mark, but then again, he was the one who left them all behind without warning for years, and never tried to contact them. And actions always have consequences. I think there was a lesson learned.

It’s a sweet holiday romance to get you into the Christmas spirit.Jack Devlin is visiting family in Sapphire Bay, Montana, and meets up with Emma Lewis. He falls hard and fast for Emma and her six-year-old twins, Dylan and Molly. The longer Jack stays in Sapphire Bay, the less he wants to return to his life in New York City.Emma is falling for Jack, but she’s wary after her husband abandoned her with two babies to fend for herself. She swore she would always stand on her own, but when Jack comes into the picture, her determination melts away.This is a fun, sweet romance, full of Christmas spirit, but I did feel there wasn’t a lot of conflict. Halfway through the book, we know Jack and Emma love each other. Her ex-husband comes back on the scene after being gone five years, but they appear to be getting along. While that changes later in the book, it felt like a stronger conflict would have greatly improved the story. Even so, it’s a fun read.

This is a clean Christmas Story. Even with a church involved, this was not a preachy book. It might not have the largest words used in a book. This read gave me something I don’t always find in any book, let alone Christmas books. That being hope. What this book doesn’t have for hard core purity leading up to Christmas. The book makes up in kindnesses, good deeds, volunteers both willing & unwilling. Special romances for young and old. And simple pleasures in a small town when the residents pull together for a cause. This was a very calming & peaceful book. Even with rough spots, and ups & downs. I will want to re-read this in a couple of months, which is extremely rare for me to want to do.

Ich muss gestehen, dass ich das Buch nur bis etwa zur Hälfte gelesen und dann das Ende überflogen habe. Eigentlich lese ich die Bücher der Autorin ganz gern, aber mit diesem kann ich mich leider nicht anfreunden. Ich hatte mir ein vorweihnachtliches Buch erhofft, das ein wenig auf die bevorstehende Adventszeit einstimmt. Daher finde ich es enttäuschend, dass die Handlung im Sommer/Herbst spielt, und es hauptsächlich um die Planung eines Weihnachtsevents geht, das im September beginnen soll. Das ist nicht besonders spannendâ¦(und Weihnachtsparade im September geht gar nicht). Ich gebe trotzdem drei Sterne, da ich den Schreibstil der Autorin mag. Auch sind die Menschen in Sapphire Bay durchweg sympathisch und das soziale Engagement bewundernswert.
