Perfect firmness, felt a difference from the first try
This is an amazing piece of equipment. It’s actually much larger than I expected, I was picturing it more the size of a tennis ball. It’s a little painful at first, but I can tell the exact point in my back where I have slight scoliosis and it provides so much relief when I feel it gently shift my spine into alignment. I had a horrible experience with a chiropractor, so this has been the perfect solution to get to that hard to reach spot just below my shoulder blades. I’ve tried a lot of products, and this is the first one that has actually been able to get to the spot I need to focus on. There isn’t a lot of give in the material, but the rows of traction on either side are gentle on the skin and spread out the pressure nicely. The width is perfect for not putting too much pressure directly near the spine. When I first opened it, I worried that it would be way too hard, but it’s just right. If you prefer a light touch massage, this probably isn’t the right product for you, but if you like firm pressure, you will love it.

Great for all kinds of body work
I got this roller for my upper back and works perfectly for that purpose: the shape gets right into the area between the spine and the shoulder blades which is impossible to reach with a regular roller.- This Myo-Roller has about the same diameter as other rollers: 5 1/2 inches; and is about 6 inches long.- It’s firmer than a soft Melt type roller, and about as firm as your basic white roller, but made of a bit different material. It’s great for working your glutes, IT band, shoulders, any tight muscles or other soft tissue and anything else you would use a regular roller for, with the difference that because of the shape you can get into all the nooks and crannies much easier! On many areas it works a lot better than a tennis ball or spike ball.Because it’s small it is sometimes harder to balance on it, but you’ll get the hang of it quickly.Even if you already have several rollers like I do, this one is a great addition to your roller arsenal!

Simple, yet remarkably effective!
I just tried the Myo-Roller for the first time after a hard mountain bike ride and Iâm giving it high praise! Iâm 6â-2â 190 lbs. and for me this thing is just the right size â just the right firmness and texture â and contacts the muscles in just the right places when used on the back. Using the weight of my body I simply roll over it â pausing for moments at a time along the way â letting it sink in until getting a release. When I got to the mid-back, just between the shoulder blades, I got a nice quadruple âcrack!â â and then one or two more. A very satisfying adjustment – the kind where you can actually breathe better afterwards. Almost as good as having someone walk on your back!

It’s ok, but not very versatile
It’s too soft for my liking and, contrary to what I assumed from other reviewers/descriptions, I don’t find it useful for rolling my hamstrings, hip flexors, IT bands, etc. – it is good for my back, though! But it doesn’t go much further than that. I opted to get this hoping to avoid the bigger size of a traditional foam roller (I travel overseas often and need my training equipment), but it seems that I’ll have to get a regular foam roller after all!

Great for upper back tightness
I use this gadget at physical therapy and needed one at home. It is great for upper back/scapula tension because the indent is where your spine goes and then you just roll and up down targeting that area.Get a good release, light in weight, easy to travel with, etc. Just priced very very high for a small foam item.

Must be defective
Foam is not firm it caves in a lot when I used it the first time. It looks like they want to charge for a return and use a shipping label through UPS which is inconvenient. I’m hoping they replace the defective product

room for improvment
I have a rib that likes to pop out of it’s facet and it allows my t6 or t7 vertibre to rotate a bit. it hurts and pops constantly. I got this because i was hoping it would help align the vertebre. i already have a straight cylinder foam roller that cracks my back pretty good. I like this little guy, i keep it at work because it is nice and compact. Its a bit softer than most other foam rollers ive used in the past and because it isnt very long, its somewhat difficult to roll straight back and forth on. also because its a little too soft, it doesnt give me the cracks im hoping for a lot of the time….But wait… i am in less pain on a regular basis than i was a few weeks ago. i think that means its working. it isnt a maigc bullet that has cured my back by any means, but i do think it has improved my spinal alignment at least a little and it does offer temporary relief.if this product was maybe 6 inches longer and i tiny bit firmer, it would be the best product on the market.

Great Roller once you’ve mastered the art of rolling!
I run a clinic that is focused on rehab and exercise. I have 6 different type of foam rollers. This one is by far my favorite one. Second best is the rumble roller. I loved this one so much, that I stole it from my clinic for personal use at home. Yes, I did buy a new one to replace the one I took =P I typically have midback problems, but recently I’ve upped my training schedule to about 6 days a week and have been developing some low back issues as well. I’ve developed a 10 min roller program specifically for this roller. It works out the entire paraspinal muscles and helps stretch your suboccipital ms as well. Like the other reviewer says, this roller will adjust your spine as you roll. There are ways to get a deeper adjustment on this, for example, raising your hands above your head while rolling in the thoracic spine will adjust some segments deeper from what i’ve found.

this roller is great hits all those little areas that you normally cant access with the longer rollers
