Better than the expensive brands
OMG. I just purchased this again after trying several other brands touted by social media influencers and people in the hair industry. These other brands tend to be quite expensive and so one would think that means higher quality and and more satisfactory results. That is just not true in this case. I find this tool be superior in several ways. I am not sure why I decided to try other brands but within the past 2 months I have purchased 4 irons and each left my hair more damaged and frizzy than the next. I was becoming paranoid thinking that my hair was changing due to hormones, nutrition deficiencies or weather. I have been spending money left and right to find products to repair damage and vitamins to strengthen and promote growth. I was searching on Amazon for reviews of irons that might be safe to use until I got my hair strong again and this one popped up. I recognized this as the one I had prior to switching and figured I would try it again. I am soooo glad I did. First use was an instant improvement. My hair held the curl? It did not feel fried, it is shinier and I can tell now that the other irons were the problem this whole time. I did one last test and did two curls side by side. I did one curl with this iron and one with the most expensive iron. My hair felt scalded and crispy with the expensive brand. I will be giving my other irons away and sticking with this one from now on!

Curls my hair in under 15 mins! The only issue is that the power button is where I normally hold the iron and I turned it off by accident at least 3x.

Smooth Hair
Excellent tool with multiple heat settings. Heats quickly. Gives hair a smooth blow out style. I have managed to touch the heat element several times as it extends longer in the handle than my previous iron. Still I recommend it. I purchased a heat glove to help with this.

Doesnât burn my hair, huge bonus!
I have very, very fine hair and curling irons tend to burn my hair and make it very crunchy. I bought this currently an iron because of the multiple settings in the hopes that the lowest settings would be perfect for my hair type and they absolutely are.
I get the best medium sized curls and they last and donât fall out. I have the ability to make my hair either heavy curl or a light curl such as a beachy wave.
I definitely recommend this curling iron and would absolutely purchase it again.

Love that it heats up instantly and keeps heat even throughout styling times. Not too heavy and easy to handle. Good length cord with Velcro latch for folding and storage of cord and the cord swivels also. Gives me beautiful, long lasting curls. Love it!!

Not quite for very coarse, frizzy hair
I bought this to replace my beloved HOT TOOLS Ceramic + Tourmaline curling iron, which transformed my coarse, thick, frizzy, slightly wavy hair into shiny, smooth curls. It finally died after 4-5 years of frequent use/travel etc.
Unfortunately, this iron did not have the same great results. I think the lack of tourmaline and that it doesn’t get quite as hot (415F max versus 430F) made it not as effective for my very tough hair. I had noticed quite a few years ago, that my hair really needs a tool to get over 420F to either effectively straighten or curl. But somehow I guess I thought technology had improved so that maybe I wouldn’t need all the heat.
Anyway, it would probably work just great for most people’s hair. But it gave me weak curls and didn’t smooth, so my hair still looked fluffy/frizzy.
I’ll be returning to HOT TOOLS Ceramic + Tourmaline curling iron and definitely recommend it to anyone with similar very textured hair.

I have low density long baby fine hair. I use this iron to bend mommy ends under to fake a blowout. I love knowing how hot this tool gets and it works great on the lowest setting. Donât expect tight waves or curls. It creates large bends in my hair and possibly lose waves in thicker hair. I ruined my hair with a hot air brush last year so hoping this is less stress on my hair cause it delivers the exact same results.
