Surprisingly Great
I was on vacation when I received an interview request for my dream job. I hadn’t brought any makeup with me, but since the interview would be conducted via Zoom, I wanted to look my best and headed to CVS – the only option in the rural-ish area I was in. Being “of a certain age”, medium brown is my go-to since black eyeliner looks too harsh. Options were quite limited but I took a chance on Midnight Mocha (smokey gray) and loved the results. It defines the eyes nicely without looking heavy and pairing it with dark mascara achieved the professional but natural look I was going for. Great staying power too. I’ve recently ordered a few more pencils from Amazon to have on hand.

Love This Color – But It Does Smudge
This is a beautiful color and I absolutely love wearing it! However, at the end of a work day (8 hours) I notice that it has started to smudge just from blinking, so I check a couple times a day when I wear this to make sure it hasn’t gotten too crazy on it’s own.

I cannot tell you how many eyeliners I have tried over the years, that didn’t really work well, mostly at going on easily or staying on. What I wanted was a liner that didn’t leave a sharp edged finish, that was soft looking so it wasn’t so obvious. I finally went with is this grayish color, and went back to Maybeline, the brand my mother used for mascara back in the 1040’s and ’50’s. I actually quit using a liner because I was tired of the irritation. I love this liner, and will probably buy another before I need it because whenever I find a product I like it will disappear….like Enjoli perfume. Funny. My mother’s Maybeline mascara was in a little box, and it had to be moistened, and then you rubbed the tiny brush into the color to apply. She used to spit into the box to moisten it. It’s really waterproof!
I’ve been using this product for several months now and this is amazing! It does not smear, and it truly is waterproof. I use smokey brown and it goes on so smooth. I work 12-hour shifts in the hottest warehouse ever, and I never have to worry about this eyeliner dragging down under my eyes. I’m 53 and nothing stays on like this stuff does! I use makeup-removing wipes to take it off easily and I just can’t say enough good things about this product. You just have to try it, it’s the best out there and it’s so affordable. I definitely recommend it!

Outstandingly long wearing
This is incredibly long wearing. Literally does not budge until removed.
Had to give a three star though because the tip quickly stops filling with product and makes the creation of a cat eye very difficult. Iâve tried different tricks to use the felt tip so it works better but so far without success.
I wish they had the exact same product in a pot and wand format. That would make it unbeatable!
