Tiny Lovely Issues (tenth Anniversary Version): Reese’s E book Membership: Recommendation from Pricey Sugar

One of the best books I’ve ever read.
I first bought (and read) Tiny Beautiful Things when I was at a low point in my life. Two days before, I found out that the company I loved working for and the job that I was flourishing at were closing. I spent two days in bed crying and finally picked up my kindle to distract my mind. I had never read or heard of Dear Sugar or Cheryl Strayed (before Wild at least). I read it through twice without putting the book down. I laughed, I cried, I found something that resonated in parts of me that had gone cold. I can’t even start to tell you how much this book meant and continues to mean to me. Through the worst times of my life, I constantly turn back to this book. Sugar is sweet, nonjudgmental, understanding, and most of all, not afraid to tell it like it is. She’s the best friend I wish I had in my ear to help me through some of the trials of life. The book is such a wonderful combination of advice, memoir, humor, and tell it like it is advice. It’s hilarious, sad, and most of all honest. You can tell she’s spent hours mulling over every piece of advice that she gives. It’s cut through the bulls*** honest. It’s what so many young adults (and many others) need to hear. I’ve bought this book for so many people since. It’s that book that you know will touch people. I would recommend this from the top of the tallest building in the world. If you’re debating reading this, just stop. Stop and go read it now. It’s a quick and moving read. Just do it, you won’t regret it.

Cannot recommend this strongly enough
There really aren’t words to do justice to the way I feel about this book. It honestly changed my life. I have bought it for at least 15-20 loved ones. If you love it too, def check out the Dear Sugar podcast. I also read Wild and enjoyed it, and I adore Cheryl Strayed in all her varied capacities, but given how much better known that one is bc of the movie, I make sure to tell friends that it is very different from this book and that your response to Wild doesn’t necessarily predict how you’ll feel about Dear Sugar. This book is definitely in my lifetime top 10. I can’t imagine it’ll speak to everyone quite as strongly, but if it appeals at all, I can’t express how strongly I feel it’s worth a try. Esp since it’s made up of short columns that really all stand on their own and is just so easy to read, pick up and put down, enjoy bit by bit. Taken together though, the approach to life Sugar models was honestly a revelation to me, so honest and real and so passionate and hopeful. So radically compassionate. Lovingkindness embodied, in the most hilarious, raw, relatable, beauty-and-ugliness-and-breathtaking-eloquence-and-profanity-and-all package. I truly owe Cheryl Strayed a great debt and count her among my most treasured idols and heroes.

I was sad to finish this book because I enjoyed reading it so much.I felt I was living some of the experiences that were shared by some people. I have learned so much from the advice that was given. I enjoyed the stories that the author shared, I admired how she advised people without telling them what to do. I was impressed with how the writer thinks and comes up with answers that help and within judgment.I definitely recommend this book. It opened my eyes to issues I had never thought of.

This book is amazing! It’ll make you laugh and cry at the same time! It’s written in the form of letters from different kinds of people covering a variety of life problems. You will definitely be able to relate directly or indirectly with some or the other letter. In the end, you’ll realize that your problems are nothing in front of the problems that other people face. After reading this book, you’ll be more grateful for all that you have!
