    Wonderful product
So far it is everything that it is advertised to be. Really like the larger one. Very bright. Love that it charges my phone They are very light weight, easy storage. Web site is easy to navigate, also.

Works great and is easy to store.
It better than I expected. You can adjust the brightness with a tap. The light is easy to charge. Plus it holds a charge pretty well. It folds up easily making it easy storage. I would buy again.

    Innovative
The compact design & portability makes this keen for camping and hiking. The ability to charge a cell phone and then recharge the lantern as it hangs off from my backpack or simply while left back at camp makes this hugely beneficial while exploring. A lot of lanterns are difficult to use because the light is blinding, they can incredibly heavy, or they eat batteries. This lantern is light weight, and it emits a soft light that illuminates a room, but it isn’t blinding to look at. It seems to maintain a good charge when used as a lantern alone too. The description of the length of use versus battery time seems to be pretty accurate if you follow the products guidelines.

Great product, worth every cent spent
Purchased this to use for emergency purposes. Nice bright light. Easy to charge in the sun. Can place it on a table, hang it from the ceiling, carry it around. Much safer and easier than using candles or oil burning lanterns during a blackout. Can use for camping or as a light on the patio. Would purchase again. I wish the product was available when I was doing more camping in my youth, as I would have saved money on batteries and had a brighter light.

    Good light but loses air
I’ve used this for about 8 months now. When I first bought it, I liked it so much that I bought the version without the phone charger, and I still use both almost daily. The warm glow of these lanterns is much nicer than the harsh cold white lights in my apartment. Mostly they’re alternatives to the built-in lights in my apartment, but they’re also meant to be backups in case we lose electricity in a story.Solar recharging does work but is slow, which is to be expected. My apartment gets almost no sun at this time of year, so I generally charge them via USB cable. That is fairly quick, and battery life is reasonable, though not amazing.I’ve tested charging my phone a few times and this feature does work. As you might expect, it is slow and it does drain the lantern’s battery quicker than it would if it were only being used as a lamp, but if your mobile is about to die and there’s no other charging option, this feature is nice to have in a pinch.I am disappointed to find that the lantern with the charger hasn’t held up well in terms of structure. After about four months, I noticed that it was losing air much more rapidly than the lantern without a charger. Pretty much all inflatable objects lose air over time, some faster than others depending on how they’re handled. These two lanterns have been handled in the same way, but this one isn’t holding up well. Fortunately, this one is kept hanging in my kitchen so the lack of structure caused by this deflation isn’t a major problem, but I’m expect it to die much sooner than the other lantern.Since the other lantern is performing as expected, I’m giving this 4 stars, though I’d rather give it 3.5. As a light, it does what I need it to do, but its inability to retain air restricts my usage.

Solar power light with many uses
Good item to have in case of emergency.Or for outdoors when there’s no power outlet. I keep mine in a sunny window to keep charged. Love that you can charge your phone, too. Lightweight and compact. Started by two young women wanting to help people experiencing disaster and people who lived in areas with little or no electricity.

If there were 10 stars, I would give it.
Most amazing gadget I have even discovered. We went through Hurricane Helene and the LuminAID continues to gives us an easy, light-weight tough option for light and powering phones, even in the worst terrain. It charges easily while riding on the backpack and holds the charge for several hours, depending on choice of bright light and multiple phones connected. WORTH THE MONEY.

This light works exactly as described. The light is bright. I got it for home use due to power outage so can’t attest to camping use.

I ordered this LUMINAID branded “Survivor” solar lantern with dual chargers because it appeared to be the best of all the brands offerings, and because I had heard about inflatable lanterns in the past but had not yet picked on up for my own camping adventures. I am so glad that I finally decided on what appears to be one of the best options available in this class of solar powered camping lanterns. It really is a unique and life-saving device depending on the circumstances.Hypothetically this would be great if you were stranded out in open water, but fortunately my story is only in a mountain of wooded area, which was still a bit confusing and even a bit frightening when traversing the landscape against the darkness of night. I happened to bring the LuminAID Survivor along with me, and while I may well have survived without it, my situation was certainly much improved than if I had failed to include it in my emergency kit.As noted, I went on a recent camping trip shortly after ordering the Survivor themed LuminAID lantern, and as it turns out, it was a light source that I absolutely depended on. I had already pre-charged it in preparation for my trip, but then a sudden rainstorm rolled in half way up a mountainside deep in a wooded area and at least another full two hours before I had planned to set up my base-camp.The lanterns water-resistant and near-instant inflation proved to be invaluable. I hung it on a low-hanging tree and it illuminated my progress as I began to install a temporary tarp to rest under while the storm passed. It continued to charge bright even while additionally charging my GPS to ensure it was at full capacity if things got even worse. And to some degree, they did. The storm lasted for nearly 6 hours, and by the time it was over, I was still entirely soaked and even the tree cover had done little to prevent the ground from turning to sludge. It was going to be a substantially more difficult uphill battle to reach my base site and, as night began to fall, the lantern was not even at half capacity yet, which was amazing. The lanterns ambient glow provided a cozy ambience as I changed some of my outerwear and continued to provide a reliable light for the next stretch in my journey. The Survivor has a documented 16 hour runtime if not being used to charge any other devices, so even with some juice going to my gps watch, it was more than enough to get me to my destination before too late into the evening, and even enough to get my base camp fully installed, a fire started so I could cook and prep, and then myself into my sleeping bag for the remainder of the night. It did not begin to dim until about a half hour after that, which is absolutely incredible to me.Overall, I can attest that if you are stranded in the woods (which I was not in any way, but just saying), this “Survivor” version at least from brand LuminAID will see you through the storm, and can really be one extension of your overall lifeline emergency kit. It’s solar panel is excellent, it has USB-C and standard USB-A ports for alternate recharging and charging other devices, and a water-resistant (waterproof really) design that keeps you both well-lit, well-connected, and hopefully well-managed if a bad situation were to occur.Despite the raging storm, I really owe my sanity to this incredible, lightweight lantern. As noted in my headline, it is absolutely a camping/hiking/emergency essential for me. 5 bright stars.

This lantern lights the whole inside of our pop-up trailer beautifully…our trailer is old and is losing some of its functions that we are no longer investing to repair…so this purchase does the jobs of our indoor lighting system. We’ve been on our trip for 5 days now and haven’t had to recharge yet!! So I would assume it would be quite useful for no-service camping trips or hikes…haven’t tried solar charging yet.
