    Great Shade!
We were waiting for a second set of poles to arrive and decided to take our Neso to our local park to do a test run on it before we go to the beach later this summer. We have only ever had traditional canopies for our outdoor adventures and I have to say this was super easy to set up and use. Granted we did not fill the bags with sand(we don’t have beaches in WV), we just staked it in the ground for our test run. Setting up with stakes took all of 3 minutes to accomplish, we imagine filling the bags with natural elements like sand will take a bit longer but seems like maybe only an extra 10 minutes with 2 of us working on it at the same time.We had about 10MPH breezes rolling through and the Neso didn’t even notice the breeze.I think the only thing I would say is a con is that it doesn’t come with any type of shovel or anything to help you get natural elements into the sand bags. But that’s easily remedied if you buy a folding shovel(we will before our beach trip), it will fit easily into the bag, as the carrying bag has extra room in there.A feature I didn’t realize was there…The carrying bag has an insulated pouch to carry a cold drink or two. Which is a nice touch. All in all, the set up was easyIt provided sufficient shade for our family of 4.Didn’t budge in 10MPH breeze.Got a few compliments.Easy take down. Taking down and packing up was a breeze, so much easier than a traditional canopy. We are really happy with the performance and ease of use for this product.Update:Took our Neso sun shade out for its maiden voyage on the beaches of Outer Banks. The first day within the first 2 hours both poles snapped in half. Luckily we had purchased an extra set of poles before we left for the beach. Could by user error as we had only set it up at our local park before our beach vacation where there was a small breeze. The rest of our vacation our extra set of poles kept our Neso up, so as I said the snapping of the first 2 poles could have just been user error or a manufacturing issue.Setting it up, using sand to fill the bags was a breeze, quick and almost effortless. I had mentioned thinking we would need a shovel, but I was wrong, it was easy to fill the bags by hand and probably faster than using a shovel. We also took an extra step and buried the bags in the sand, which I think helped to keep the bags stable in the high winds.Taking down, I thought we would have issues with sand wanting to stick to the bag, but again I was wrong, if you shake the bags out properly, the sand doesn’t stick in the bags. All in all we are very happy with our purchase of our Neso Sunshade. We are sad that we are back down to one set of poles as we would like to have the additional set for other applications.

    Slick and effective in wind.
I grew up, going to Lake Powell and Mexico to beaches where wind is always an issue, and we use pop-up shades as known throw-always after each season. I decided it was worth trying the extra money to not stress about breaking frames of pop-ups in the wind when I purchased this extra large Neso sunshade. I purchased two extra feet so that we could make it a hole for post shade. At first I was worried when I put it up because it was so wobbly but once we buried the sandbags for extra weight, it’s stretched out awesome. It moves with the wind and doesn’t grab it like a parachute like a pop-up shade. I love the color and the portability of it because it was smaller than a kids backpack. I’m a little worried about how it will hold up where the posts sit inside of the Lycra. I guess we will see how long they last. But they look amazing and they are dynamic instead of static, which I think has made a huge difference. The sun does shine a little bit through, but it also lets a little wind through, and it moves with the wind. We loved it, and it looked stylish. It was definitely taller and way bigger than any other pop-up shades that we could manage. Highly recommend after 7 days at rocky point.

    Has it’s perks
updating again. These poles stink something fierce. I keep replacing them and today had one tear through the foam and then rip through the tent like peter pan cutting through captain hooks sail on the jolly roger. Thankfully, my in laws have a shabumi thingy that we are squeezing under. I might still buy another tent because of the size but seriously can’t believe these poles don’t have a rounded cap under the foam to prevent them from tearing through the foam tip. It’s such a poor design, “fill the bags until they are full and then fill a little more”. Except, the foam on the poles can’t handle the weight and will tear exposing the sharp pole under it which tears the tent itself. I am going to do some hard research on neso competitors and if I can’t find anything I’ll probably figure out a way to reinforce the foam tips on the poles.—————I’ve owned it 2 years now so heres my 3 star review. I have a family of five and often have two to four more people with us when we are at the beach. Where this tent is a big win is its size and the amount of shade that it provides. You cannot beat the amount of shade you get with one of these tents. The downside is that you’re going to have to replace the poles once to twice a beach season. The poles bend and the foam rips off the top of them which puts tears in the tent itself which causes lots of problems. The material that is the tent is similar to spandex if not spandex but the hem will tear and it will stretch making it totally useless if it’s even slightly windy. You will have to turn it to a side that has the hem in tacted to use it. This is all after only one to two beach seasons of use. So figure in 4 to 6 months a year and a few weekends total in that time frame. Jury is out if I’d buy again. The cost is great until you buy your 3rd set of poles.

Me encanto, facil de armar y desarmar. La tela no se calienta, la escogi negra y debajo estaba muy fresco. Deben enterrar los sacos de arena para que este mas firme con el viento.

This was a gift to our son who’s into camping, surfing, outdoor activities, etc. He loves it and has already taken it on a family camping weekend.

After four metal gazebos and a huge tarp/sail with fence posts – this one actually doesn’t get destroyed by the wind on our cottage beach.I did order the extra poles and it stays up really well – but the clincher is that if a high wind comes along, it just falls flat onto the sand…and that’s okay.Definitely recommend.
