Traveling-thick dense hair
I brought this on a overseas, carry on only business trip for touching up my natural curls. Very grateful this exists as it got me through some very busy mornings when I HAD to look nice but did not have time or attention span from jet lag for normal wash/dry hair routine to get my curls to behave. I have just below shoulder length, very thick and dense hair. The curler had enough wattage (heat) and barrel length to curl the entire hair sections in one go. It’s so super lightweight and small I threw it on the bottom of my backpack instead of adding weight to my carry on. Will bring it everywhere now! The bright color also makes it easy to see in the hotel room so I don’t leave it behind cause I can’t travel now without one.

The advantages: it heats up quick, the 1 inch barrel is perfect for medium length hair, it is small enough for a desk drawer or large handbag. Concerns: the tip on my curling iron does get uncomfortably warm – I am afraid that it will burn me, so I won’t touch it in case it gets hotter; the curling iron itself gets very hot – when I am using it on my hair, smoke comes up from it, possibly doing damage to my hair.So I do use it, but am extremely careful not to 1) touch the tip, 2) leave it turned on for more than quick touch up curls, and 3) leave my hair curling for more than a few seconds.My final analysis – I would not have purchased it had I known these things in advance. So, buyer, be aware.

Easy To Handle
I have short hair and find this curling iron so easy to use. I can easily curl the harder or awkward areas behing the ear easy to curl with the shorter barrel. Caution, the barrel does get hot and you can not adjust the heat setting. That said, it makes doing my hair so much quicker and easier. With other curling irons I found myself accidentally turning the temperature down or off due to control placement on the handle…not so with this curling iron. The price is fair, the short barrel so easy to use and store. If you have short hair this might be the best curling solution for you.

This curling iron is the right size for travel and dual voltage, so good for international trips. Be aware that it gets VERY hot, and the temp is not adjustable. Be cautious of where you lay it, as I melted a nylon cover accidentally.
