    So Far good
Set it up in garage. Everything looks nice. Will update after the summer camping trips. Looks like lots of room.

    It’s a Coleman
Coleman tents are not the fanciest tents out there, but they aren’t priced as such, either. This is a Coleman quality tent. What does that mean? You’re going to get good seams, decent materials, and strong flexible polls. You’ll also get some pockets and lantern (LED recommended) hooks.
How easy is it really to set up? Pretty easy, but it is not going to only take 5 minutes the first time. They color code the corner of the rainfly; I do wish they would have color coded the front pole clips vs. the cross-poll clips (since the pole itself is a different color, gray clips would have been perfect!) On first setup, I went down the wrong set — only takes a minute to note you’re going the wrong way, but there goes one of your five minutes!
I have mixed feelings on clips vs. channels. My last Coleman tent (about six years ago) used channels, and while you had to play with the pole a little, there wasn’t any guessing. With the clips, you have to know right where you are on the pole as you attach each clip.
Main reason I wanted this tent was the vestibule. I don’t like bringing my muddy shoes inside my tent after a day of hiking, but I don’t like them sitting outside (since you never know when that stray shower might come by). This tent gives you a little “mud room” to store some gear and keeps it out of the rain. Can someone sleep in the vestibule? Sure. It’s the size of a small pup tent. Not too comfortable if they are over 6′ tall, but I’m sure kids would love it. As long as they’re away they will be crossed over if someone needs the bathroom at night!
The main tent is roomy. Fits a queen inflatable mattress. So, more than enough room for two. I personally don’t like being all cramped up when camping, so when four of us go camping, it’s two tents roughly this size. But if you want to all scootch together, you could fit four in here. I can somewhat stand (being 6′), not all the way, but enough to get around. Not that I spend a lot of time standing in a tent.
As with all tents (and ever since I accidentally camped in a rainforest on one bike-camping trip): I do recommend a tarp underneath. This has a decent floor, but a tarp catches any sharp objects you might have missed and will make your tent last longer.
Don’t like privacy? Pull that rainfly off! The main tent is almost all mesh, so without the fly, it’s a nearly clear dome. When using the fly, you can set the ropes to open or close it as much as you want (or need airflow).
How long does it take to setup really? Experienced campers, give yourself about 10 minutes on that first try. From then on, 5-10 minutes depending on your campsite. As with all Coleman tents, the setup instructions (one page) are permanently built into the bag it comes in.
Oh, one other feature that is new to me: Not good at packing up a tent? Always fighting to get it in the bag? They have a “rip strip” that you can release if you need it that makes the bag a little bigger. Good at packing up a tent? Then don’t pull the strip!
Planning my next camping trip now!

May not scream luxury, but they definitely deliver on the essentials.
Coleman Skydome tents may not scream luxury, but they definitely deliver on the essentials without requiring you to mortgage your sleeping bag. Think of it as the Honda Civic of tents—practical, reliable, and roomy enough for your camping crew.
The main tent is spacious enough to fit a queen-size inflatable mattress with room to spare for your gear (or your dog’s gear if you overpack for Pumpkin like I do). It’s a cozy palace for two, though you might want to negotiate boundaries if you’re sharing snacks. The screened porch is a nifty bonus—perfect for keeping bugs at bay while you sip coffee and pretend you’re not late for your hike.
Now, about the waterproofing: it’s solid for light rain, but don’t expect it to laugh in the face of a monsoon. The newer materials aren’t as water-tight as some older models, so pack a tarp or prepare for some damp socks if the weather takes a turn.
What’s great? The setup is genuinely easy—five minutes, and you’re ready to start your fireside storytelling. Add in the included rainfly and carry bag, and you’ve got yourself a solid, no-frills tent that gets the job done. Not the fanciest digs, but for the price, it’s a great home-away-from-home in the great outdoors.

    Can’t wait to go camping!
It is currently winter here, but we set this tent up in our living room and are impressed with its roominess! It will be perfect for our camping trips as a couple with two dogs. The interior pockets are great for keeping personal items like phones, wallets, and keys all easily accessible. I love the “screen porch” portion of the tent and was surprised at how big it is! It is the perfect spot to keep shoes and dog equipment, things you don’t want in the tent but also don’t want to get rained on overnight. We’ve used Coleman tents for years and this one seems up to their standard of quality. I can’t wait to go camping next summer!
