I love the KastKing hat. It keeps the ridiculously hot Central Florida sun off my head and is lightweight and has a breathable mesh that really works. I usually wear a gaiter around my neck but with the neck shield, I don’t have to. I put the drawstring up over the top which raises the brim on the sides and allows me to hear well while fishing in the swamp. The brim size is great, keeps the sun and rain off without being too large. I love that I can roll it up and keep it in my man purse (small backpack with survival gear, Ha!), it goes with me everywhere. Used the hat yesterday at Universal Studios standing in long lines in the hot sun and pouring rain. So glad I had it. The quality is top-notch and I think it will last a very long time. There is not much I would change about this hat if given the ability. Maybe a few more color choices but the light grey camo works perfectly for my needs. I have several of the Kaskking reels and use the Kaskking braid on everything. It is all awesome! I am becoming a big fan of Kastking products.

Nice boonie style hat, camo pattern. Multi functional i turned it around to the mesh side in front. Was a nice sunshade for my eyes facing into the rising sun. Good coverage from the sun on head and neck. Was a bit tight but should loosen up over time. Was comfortable just a bit tight. Only downside was the neck flap in the wind was a bit loud , sounds like a flag on a windy day but right next to your ear, once the wind calmed down was fine. Good for summer sun. Would get again in other colors.

As a construction worker who works outside, I have tried several hats of this style and none of them are as good as this one.* The hat is lightweight and very comfortable* Does an excellent job of blocking the sun from face and neck* Can feel the breeze on my head as the air flows through the vents which is a wonderful feeling on hot days* The neck guard is light and not only blocks the sun from burning your neck but funnels the air around the back of your neck as you walk, move, or have a breeze.* Comes in a variety of different colors* Great value for the priceI would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality hat to protect them from the sun but also keep them cool and not create the feeling of wearing a winter hat in the middle of summer.

Love the hat. Light wait , quality material. Windy days flap covering back of your neck flaps around. Not but wind may not affect the flap if you tuck it inside the back collar of shirt.

Bought this to replace my army issue desert storm boonie, after some moths decided to eat it. This is not as hot as my old one. It’s a tad tight for my 7 1/2 size head, but it will loosen over time. The draw string is nice for smaller heads.

Shades the eyes OK, but back curtain isn’t big enough
I got this hoping to keep the sun off the sides of my face and neck. It mostly gets the back of the neck. If the little curtain was a couple of inches wider, it would be much better.Also, the fastener that is supposed to keep the curtain on the hat isn’t very reliable.I have gone back to an older safari-style hat that I have repaired to keep the curtain workable.
