This is a very good and enjoyable story about love Arians had loved Tom as a child but he thought she was dead and she had been raised by Indians and when she chose to return to her home town she chose a new name Kalani .She took the job on a ranch a cook and housekeeper and realized that Tom is now Michael and though the town turned against her she is loved by Michael.The plot is a good on about love and forgiveness and the characters are realistic and emotional with a very good and enjoyable extended epilogue.A delightful story

Kalani .(Ariana) was a brave girl and an outstanding human being. She had always loved a boy named Tom before she was abducted from her family by the Indians. She learned fast and dealt with a lot of challenges and pain. Michael (Tom) had started his own ranch and remembered as a boy the many Indian attacks. Many things about the past came to the present and lives were changed. Very interesting and compassionate reading.

As they rediscover their feelings for one another will they be able to overcome all their trials in this sweet heart felt story full of drama, faith, uncertainties, prejudice, danger, heartbreak and while the suspense builds and tension escalate make this one enjoyable read!

This is a story of a young woman that was taken in an Indian raid ten years before and everyone thought she was dead. When her Indian mother dies she goes back to the town to live. But there is bias since she was with the Indians. She runs into Michael her love from when she was younger and he doesnât recognize her. He gives her a job. He hates the Indians as they killed his love. He finds himself drawn to her. Will he figure out who she is and can he forgive the Indians? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

So, overall there was a good plot to this story. It was enjoyable. But there were some big negatives:1. Why did they decide Kalani was a good white woman’s name?!?!2. The whole idea that she had forgotten so much about her white life send a little odd….. Maybe if she had been like 6 when she was kidnapped, but 11? And it had only been 10 years, it just seemed unlikely that she would have gotten so much.3. Kalani and Michael had basically no chemistry, there was mild attraction and oh, we were planning to get married when we were kids…… Also i didn’t like how dumb they both were, it seemed like they should have figured out who they were sooner than they did.4. The dialogue was pretty horrible some of the things they said we’re just so unbelievable.This is a very clean read, with a sweet story, but if your looking for more romance, this is NOT it.

Good book. Kalani went through so much and still maintained her love for humanity through her relationship with God. Micheal was reformed and left the hatred behind. A page turner.

What a great story this is. Characters you are going to love. A woman returning to a world she left involuntarily over ten years earlier. Upon her return she discovers that prejudice is not always one sided. Trying to keep her true identity a secret becomes impossible when she witnesses the unjust treatment of a young Native American and a local family where the mother is Native American. Convincing the locals to trust instead of mistrust is going to be hard but Shalini has seen enough hurt in her young life so she is compelled to try. Reuniting with the love of her life Tom Michael is the icing on the cake. A thoroughly good read. I read this as part of an advanced reader group and leave my review voluntarily. Five stars
