Solid
I recently got into this hobby of Para cord bracelet making. There are a ton of buckles, but this one has a watch.
Solid build. The twist knob sticks a little, but loosens up with use, or maybe I just got better at it.
The watch face is not protected. I beat my first one up pretty good to understand what kind of milage I cam put on it. It lasted a while, until the watch stopped working. I’m pretty sure I hit it off something and didn’t notice, since the compass case has a scuff. Again, I wore it everywhere doing a lot.
I was impressed, ordered 15 more to hand out.
As far as bracelet making. One end is a little tight to get the cord through, but works great. I’ll try to post a picture.

Good buckles
Great buckles and the fire starters are real handy but I noticed the compasses do not work, I had all 12 on the table and each one pointed in a different direction and were affected by my knife blade every time it got close to them, and my knife blade is not magnetized so that should not have happened. So I removed the compasses and will make bracelets with them without. Good functionality and easy to clip together.

It works!
This paired with some paracord have kept my children busy on a rainy day, and also helped them to develop a new skill. I’m proud to say that the bracelets they my children made, haven’t failed. Thank you for allowing such a great product to be available!

Ideal (almost)
Size, less bulky than the 3/4. Strong, good for buckle strap, belts, replacement also. Ideal color variety. Whistle, needs a strong breath but serves the purpose of not having to engage you vocal cords. All my compasses worked But some were not set to N, easily compensated for. Firestarter works, would practice with it a few times and maybe sharpen the included striker a bit(might enable you to shave some fine tinder.

Great start for basic survival
I make paracord bracelets in my spare time and I like the idea of all the extras on these claps. The ferro rod is small but it does start fires. I’ve tested several claps and the feel rods work, the whistles and compass are useful.
These are not meant to be your number one survival gadgets. In all survival situations, one is none two is one and three is a good start.
But for a quick hike, this is a good start to have in your kit.
I’ve gone as far as to replace my backpacks claps with these so I have backup incase a bad situation turns into a very bad situation.
I use about eight to ten feet of paracord for each bracelet and fifteen for my backpacks. I hope they continue to add on more features in the future.

Good, besides the timepiece.
I knew the batteries would most likely be dead when I got these, some were, some weren’t. You can change the battery if you use a knife,or something to remove the thin plastic view piece(it’s just glued on) and then pop the whole “clock” out. I did some tooling to the hollow area that had the clock piece for bigger/better batteries and made a some with L.E.Ds for flashlights. For my purposes the set was worth the money.

Sketchy Compasses
These buckles feel surprisingly durable and well made, and they stay buckled very well even under tension. The whistle works great and Iâve managed to get some sparks with the fire starter. However, about half of the compasses either point the wrong direction or spin freely and donât point in any specific direction at all. Itâs not like theyâre expensive so if one or two were defective that would be okay with me, but half the batch not working seems like a bit much.

Compass failure
The compasses were hit or miss, mostly miss. I wouldnât want my Boy Scout relying solely on it to navigate a trail in the wilderness.
The needle sticks to the dial and wonât move as you rotate the buckle.
The flint is painted black and will not spark, even after scraping all the paint off.
I gave it two stars because the buckle did work.

Not all compasses work and those that do aren’t very accurate. Not the quality I was hoping for.

Used these in a camping game to get teams to start a fire – no problem at all (but use the correct side of the striker). Whistle is loud, compass is decently accurate. Great value!

Great quality great value for money the compass is what youâd expect from something like this and it will definitely send you in the right direction and thatâs all youâre asking for but I donât think itâs what the Royal Navy would use on the latest war ship. No they would be a little more accurate Iâd think ð but they are great little gift idea for any young Bear Grylls enthusiasts
