What’s not to love with romance and suspense.
Very well written and well developed characters that I could envision. This story with just the right amount of romance and suspense will have you trying to guess who is responsible. You will meet Sharee and John who at the beginning of the book seem to be complete opposites with different priorities in life but as they begin to spend time together preparing for a Christmas program at the church where John works and Sharee attends, they begin to feel drawn to one another yet they each have their own reasons for resisting this pull. And on top of that they each have their own secrets, so will they be able to open their hearts and share their secrets with one another? And is a future together even possible or is God just testing them? And all the while we are getting to know Sharee and John, someone is pulling pranks that are beginning to take on a sinister note with a member of the church who is expecting and with Sharee. Should they involve the police, will they find the culprit before anything too serious happens. So get your copy today and be prepared to be drawn into the relationship between Sharee and John and trying to figure out the culprit between the pranks.

The pace is fast and descriptions short and sweet, makes a perfect suspenseful romance!
The first sentence in Amber Alert by Linda K. Rodante hooked me immediately, in fact it’s the crux of the story. We find the main characters in the opening chapter already filled to the brim with emotions that make us wonder why their feelings are at some kind of breaking point. Sharee Jones with her mass of curly red hair to match her intense stubbornness, and John Jergenson who is the maintenance crew of one in their beloved church. As the story unfolds, more characters are introduced, all in some way or another ending up in the church fellowship, whether they are believers in God, or on the path to find Him.I loved how Rodante showed the human side of Christians, their flaws, raw emotions and the fear that was building due to terror that was growing among the women of the church. What were the secrets behind those people that made everything finally come to a head?I truly enjoyed the character of Sharee staying strong in her Christian faith, but still having to struggle with the physical aspect that she was feeling towards John.A fast paced story with true to life characters.

Romantic suspense, Christian style.
It’s a good attempt at Christian Romantic Suspense. At the beginning of the book, I was a bit confused. So many characters seem to have events in their past that we, the readers, don’t know about, and it seems many of these events have caused the characters to have a secret. It was tough sometimes to remember which hints about the events/secrets went with which character. I did like that many of the characters had to deal with parts of their secrets during the course of the novel. I liked RayAnn reaching out to Abbey and trying to be her friend even when Abbey didn’t seem all that loveable to others. I liked that Sharee had beliefs that she held fast to, even when sometimes she wanted to do the opposite. From the title, I suspected that a child abduction would be a plot point in the book, but I expected it to happen earlier. By the time it happened, it almost felt like an afterthought and did not seem to be the main focus of the book. That did make me question the title choice.

Great read for fsns of Christian fiction
Very romantic and suspenseful. The 2 balance out well throughout. At first I thought that sharee was extremely preachy. But as you read you discover her faults. Also you discover that who she is ia whole heartedly devoted to God. BUT she was not perfevt. In fact I related to her in many ways. In the end I didn’t feel as though the author was preaching to the reader. Her characters were all fairly well developed full of flaws. While full of suspense and romance the story was also thought provoking and full of spiritual questions and issues.

So good
This book was amazing, I loved hearing the story behind each character. I love seeing the way John give his life back to the Lord. I loved Sheree’s commitment to the Lord. She did not waver in her faith. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

While I like the story
While I like the story, but the beginning is so confusing and needs so much editing that I almost stopped reading it – something I almost never do. About half way through the book, everything starts making more sense, thereby becoming more interesting. Great story, but definitely needs a good editor.

An unexpected happening brings two together in love.
Enjoyed being with this author again. John and Sharee story was very deep. It was love at first sight for John. Sharee didn’t know what think about it all at first. But as they were around each other her love grew for him. They went through many things where they had a hard time trusting God. Looking forward to reading the next story in the series.

Amber Alert
John is running from his past and everything is going good until she needs his help. Her faith is rock solid, his has been tested and is wavering. When truths come out can they realize what they have is true.

Enjoyable read with realistic characters. I like the sense of church community the author created and seeing the characters working out their faith in action.

This book was a total disappointment to me. I got so tired of the childish behavior of 2 supposed adults working in the church and with youth no less. Fighting one minute and inappropriate behavior the next. I ended up skimming the last 30% of the book just to get to the end and by that time I didn’t really care how it ended. I’m glad this book was free and although I have all the books in the series I’m not sure I want to read any more. This is the first I have read of this author and it may be the last.
