Life changing program
This book makes eating and working out EASY. I love not counting calories or messing with an app to track nutritional info. Who has time or the discipline for that, long term? This is the first eating program I can stick to for life. I now understand why my husband can skip meals (and sometimes forgets eating a meal!), whereas, I always have food on the brain, and skipping a meal means that I become hangry and the world ends! I am a food addict! I found out Iâm a sugar burner and heâs the extreme opposite, a muscle burner. The list of food makes it easy to know what to eat and avoid. I took pics of the list at the beginning, but now I automatically know whatâs good and bad for me without the reference. I have never been fat, but I started gaining ugly fat and cellulite around my back, thighs and waist in my 40s, despite lifting weights and trying to eat better. I couldnât shed the top layer of fat! I just didnât know that what I was eating at the time (items considered âhealthyâ, but NOT for my body type) wasnât right for my body. I am a totally new person, trim and slim! I lost the last bit of weight that wouldnât come off prior to reading this book. The workouts are short, but challenging. Youâll be proud of yourself when youâre done. I love the âbitesâ for certain things like carbs – it makes it easy to know how much you can eat. If youâre not into counting calories, typing in nutritional info into apps and such, this is the program for you. Stick with it and youâll see RESULTS! I am a ME lifer!

Best book I’ve read so far on nutrition and exercise
Probably the most accurate book I’ve read about nutrition. These guys aren’t out to promote the latest fad diet. Sound doctrine from doctors who have done the research to prove it. I am currently changing my eating habits according to the book and I did lose 6 lbs the first week without effort. It makes sense to me me that when you exercise more you need to eat more or if you exercise less you need to eat less – however most diets will tell you to restrict your calories to lose weight – I have been on all kinds of weight restrictive diets and have lost but then gained it all back. I’ve dealt with eating disorders just because it finally came to that with restricting foods so severely. My doctor told me 20 years ago when I started to battle weight gain after 30 that I had slowed down my metabolism from all my severe dieting and that I needed to increase my calories a little at a time to get my matabolism going again because it was so used to living on nothing. Our minds have been conditioned to think we need to starve ourselves to lose weight and that is such a lie. From all of my years of dieting and severe restrictive calories I’ve gained over 80. lbs. with this eating plan and eating all the time I am not starving and therefore no bing or overeating. I actually am losing. I am exercising in moderation instead of killing myself for an hour to burn off the calories and then only to hop on the scale and see a gain! I am getting stronger and building muscle now. If you take a look at some of the new products out there from other very popular souces they are using basically the same method – WeightWatchers has stopped measuring food, Beachbody now uses “containers” Jillian Michaels encourages you to eat more if you exercise a lot and not go under a certain calorie count to prevent starvation mode – it’s all coming around to the truth and this book has the truth.

Love the integrated information on hormones, food, and exercise!
I love the approach to hormones, exercise, and food in this book. It really helped me to view all of these as just methods of communication within the body. It took the confusion out and I was simply able learn how I was communicating inside. I didn’t understood some of the key connections between hormones and food/exercise and I KNEW there were things I was missing there. Time after time, my searches to find someone who addressed these issues came up empty. Since reading this book, I feel more in tune with my body. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because, as a holistic nutritionist, I disagree somewhat with the point of view portrayed in the book on whole foods and healthy fats. Low fat is touted as beneficial still and I thought we all wised up to the fact that it’s modern day processed fats (and foods) that are the bane of society, not fat in general. Grass fed fats, extra virgin organic coconut oil, and others like these are, in my humble opinion, essential to a balanced way of living. However, no big deal because I have just tweaked certain food choices to fit what I know is best for me. Now it works like a charm! Thanks to the author for searching out the connection and then integrating the information on hormones, food, and exercise.

ME Diet
This book is older and I know the Tetas have updated since this publication. Exercises are great. Diet plan is not hard to follow, but 3-5 bites of carbs is just not doing it for me. The Tetas have an updated version online that would be easier to follow.

It works for me!
I was not a fat kid growing up but later in life I started struggling with my weight after the birth of my first child and working long hours at a desk. My mother was one of those women who was always on the latest fad diet and I am determined not to follow in her footsteps. I first found this book in the public library and the title intrigued me. The “diet” in the book is not really a diet as much as it is a way of eating healthier and more efficient for your body type. I liked how the book helped me understand certain things that were slowing down my metabolism and I learned that some things that I thought were helpful in losing weight really were not. Best of all, the advice in this book is easy to follow and I was still able to eat what I wanted without feeling deprived. After following the advice in this book over a few months, I lost a significant amount of weight without even exercising but then I had to stop because I became pregnant. I am about to have my baby so I purchased this book directly from Amazon instead of taking it out again from the library. I plan to resume the “diet” in this book to help me lose the post-pregnancy weight and there is a lot of helpful information in the book that makes it worthy of keeping a copy on hand.

Ce livre est intéressant, la présentation des exercices est assez peu pratique à l’usage.Reste encore à faire tout cela !

The book in a lucid manner explained the impact of hormones in our body and how they affect the body weight. The cookie cutter approach to weight loss for everybody is not feasible as each body type is different. The explanations on how different hormones work was easy to understand and how to optimise on the exercises to get the best fat loss. The book was an eye opener as most people consider that one should eat less and exercise more to lose weight – this is absolutely not true. The authors present their arguments substantiated with facts and science to explain the concept of fat loss. A well written book, very informative and also inspires one to review their exercise and food patterns.

I found this book interesting, practical and easy to refer to. The way that the eating plan is explained around ‘the science’ was easy to understand and follow. I used the book mainly for the diet as I have been working out as the Metabollic Effect Diet has advised for some time but couldn’t get my eating right. As the writers suggest the mainstream diets are focused on losing weight but this plan helps you lose fat and not muscle. I lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks and reduced my fat percentage and it was so easy and the important thing is that I am not hungry or craving rubbish any more.Definitely worth a read

I’ve been on this diet for 2 12 weeks and lost 9lbs,I can honestly say I’ve not been been hungry or bored which is why so many diets have failed in The past,I really feel great and confident that I’m going to reach my goal weight,I’ve got more energy and a feeling of well being that I haven’t had for a long time.I’m a 50yr old mum of two teenagers who has struggled with my weight for years. We live on an average income and just couldn’t afford The expensive diet plans out there. The book can be a little long winded at times but you need to get through it to understand how it works. It explains how your hormones are affected by what you eat and how they affect your metabolism and weight. There’s a quiz which you must answer honestly to establish how your body burns calories and to decide what foods you should eat or avoid. It’s very straight forward and not difficult to follow or understand. You eat 6 times a day and exercise each day, this includes healthy snacks, the exercises are not long or completely exhausting but essential to keep your metabolism going. This is not an expensive diet to follow (too many diets are full of expensive hard to get ingredients or products ) I shop in Lidl and they have all the foods I need, all I outsource is protein powder and fibre powder from amazon. I use unsweetened almond milk for the protein shakes which I is only 80p a litre in lidl. This diet will literally change how you look at food and how you have overconsumed sugar without realising it.You have one day a week when you eat and drink what you want and it’s a revelation to have a cheat day,for me it’s a Saturday and I look forward to it all week,it really keeps you going . The cheat day does not affect weight loss and is great for your well being.Give this book a try,the authors run the ‘metabolic renewal’ programme that you see advert used in Facebook etc, which I think can be quite costly, but this book is all you need .I don’t write a lot of reviews but I felt that people would want to hear from an average person who has struggled and finally found the solution without being paid or sponsored etc,for a good review, this is my honest opinion, make of it what you will. Thanks for reading my review.
