Fantastic socks
I bought these socks before a now legendary hiking trip. I wore these socks along with some ankle socks and my KEEN Women’s Gypsum WP Hiking Shoe, Raven/Baltic, 9 M US hiking shoes. We hiked into the Bankhead National Forest in the Sipsey Wilderness area. No trails at all, bring clippers to cut brambles and briars out of the way type of hike. Because there are only 10 people allowed per group in the Sipsey Wilderness, we broke up into two groups. The leader of our group wasn’t as familiar with the area as he thought he was and we ended up wading about a mile up the wrong creek. When our mistake was discovered, we had to hike back out as quickly as possible, and ended up getting out of the forest as darkness was falling, thanks to the group member who had marked his car with a GPS location. I ended up with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from a tick bite and a torn calf muscle due to pushing on when I had a huge calf cramp while climbing a very steep section of hill. It was an adventure!Anyway, these socks performed very well. They allowed my feet to stay dry in the waterproof keen shoes (which made my feet sweat on a subsequent hike during which I did not wear these socks) and they prevented any rubbing so even though I hiked for eight hours, I did not get any blisters. Instead of my socked foot rubbing against the inside of my shoes, the two layers of socks (these and jogging type angle socks) rubbed against each other. My feet did not overheat, and the socks gave a very satisfactory performance. They worked really well after the creek wade when I had to swap out of water shoes back into my keen shoes. They were easy to get on my feet even though my feet were damp and I’m convinced these socks are the reason I escaped the wilderness without a blister.

Finely woven, light and gentle to the skin
This is my first interaction with the Fox River brand. My first impression has been the socks are finely woven, ultra-light, and gentle to the skin / tough. Size M – fit light like a glove. Can’t wait to try them out on the trails…. I gave 4 stars based on my first impressions… Can’t comment on durability at this stage.

Comfortable socks
Comfortable and seem to be well-made.

Keeps me warm and dry
I use these liners as an extra layer under my winter hiking socks. They have been great on especially cold days. My feet have stayed warmer and dryer. I really notice when I don’t wear them. Happy with my purchase!

Harder material
I am returning these because I can tell the fabric will get harder and harder with each wash. There is a seam over the toes and it has a ball of thread at each side. The weave makes straight lines under the ball of foot even now when they are new and soft. I will try another brand. These socks also do not have the Fox River logo sewn on them so perhaps they are generic made.

Fantastic Hiking Liner
Bought these to wear with some thick wool socks with my hiking boots in the winter and they were fantastic. Super comfortable, stay in place and dont even feel them on.

Soccer, teen
The size small works well for my 13-year-old daughter playing soccer. Itâs helped her with blisters during long tournaments, particularly with slip resistance and keeping her feet dry. She wears them without me reminding her meaning she must find them helpful.

No hay roces y trabaja perfecto con calcetines de merino, no se siente la división entre ambas capas.
SLK –
I have been battling with blisters caused by rain boots for more years than I care to admit. These liners worn under my wool hiking socks have solved the problem. At first I thought these liner socks were expensive for what they are, but considering they will spare me the expense of daily applications of blister bandages, moleskin, etc. they are quite a good value and far more convenient.

I take a size 5 shoe so itâs a little large but I have that trouble with socks in general. It does the job well. Itâs thin, light & seems to be strong enough. I havenât had a blister since using them.

If you wear 9 size shoes you should order the medium.
Concerned Canadian –
Bought several different types of socks for a canoe trip and these were the best in terms of drying quickly – dried almost twice as fast as some of the other brands.
