    Excellent aftershave
First time I have ever used Poraso aftershave and I’m hooked. The smell is nice but not overpowering. It really helps after I shave and I feel like this bottle will last forever. It’s thick but not like a lotion. Again smells great, works great and what a value

    Great!
Smells great and feels great on a freshly shaved face. I really enjoy the smell. Very classy and regal. Not too powering, and just feels clean.

    Smells Wonderful! Works, Too
Ever since my husband switched over to DE blades I’ve been trying to get him to use something to help with the moisture. Me, I like after shave. It smells nice. This is probably the third one I’ve tried getting him to use. He raises an eyebrow and gives “that” look at all of them I’ve gotten until this one. Because it has no alcohol and it’s Italian he said he’d try. Two points in its favour. He tends to use his blades one time longer than he should, which causes problems. And he’s had a hard time breaking the habit of going against the grain rather than with it. So he ends up burned. This helps with that. This soaks in really nicely and doesn’t leave him with a shiny face. The scent is nice, not overpowering and somehow manages to last awhile. And it does seem to soothe those burned spots. The scent lasts reasonably well, the moisturiser seems to help as well. It’s been something like a week and he’s still using it every day, so he’ll probably keep using it. If he comes up with complaints I’ll pass them along. ***It’s been a few months and he still uses it every day and is already asking me to order another. He really doesn’t want to run out. Happiness all around. We’re upgrading to 5 stars. *** Update June 2021: Well, he still is using his blades one time too many, but he’s also using this every day. As of now, this one is unavailable. They don’t make another designed for coarse beards. Really, the only time his skin gets anything like sensitive is after shaving. Without changing brands there aren’t a lot of choices. Except witch Hazel. I don’t think he’ll like that. We’re back to the raised eyebrow. Here’s hoping this is resolved soon!I hope this is helpful to someone. Thank you.

    Good product
Refreshing after a shave it has alcohol like most aftershaves to sanitize your face from blade nicks so I’m not sure how well it actually moisturizes, I put on a moisturizer afterwards anyways. It does cut down on razor burn like a good aftershave should. The scent is great it’s very old school and masculine.Every morning I use it I’m taken back in time to when I was a little boy sitting on the floor watching my dad shave. Overall it works great for me I get a course 5 o’clock shadow but I have dry skin so I have a hard time finding items that work on one hand but also don’t cause my skin to get flaky and dry on the other.

Hits it out of the park
I stopped using aftershaves just after high school. I had been using cheap drug store scents and once I “discovered” department store quality colognes I gave up on them (I used them more for the smell than for the after shave skin conditioning). I stopped using colognes in my early-20s when I was a salesman and found that some people with allergies or sensitivities to scents wanted to get out of my office to avoid the scent long before I had closed the sale. After that, I never really got back into it.Fast forward a bit over 20 years and I got into wet shaving (pre-shave, good quality soap or cream lathered with a bowl and brush, DE razor) due to skin sensitivities after 20 years of wearing a beard or goatee and my skin being unused to shaving and I needed just a little more to combat skin irritation. I didn’t want to spend a fortune but I didn’t want the cheap drug store brands and smells of my teens. I wanted something that smelled good, but that wasn’t too overpowering. So, I decided to give Proraso and a few others a try. I have this and IMHO one of the nicer drugstore/grocery store brands (Nivea). I may buy the Nivea again, but I will definitely buy the Proraso again. Both have the subtle but nice and masculine scent that I wanted, neither is too intensely scented, but this, while subtle, lasts a lot longer and has a much nicer smell. I find myself reaching for the Proraso about 3 or 4 times to every one time I reach for the Nivea after a shave (and when I shave in the evening I put this on in the morning as well for the scent). I like it enough that I’m not sure that I’m going to buy some of the others I had my eye on (especially those that cost more) since I like this one so much. I may have found “my” smell on the first try.So, how’s it work as an aftershave? I like it. Like I said, after 20 years with a beard or goatee and certain parts of my face never seeing a razor, my skin was pretty sensitive once I started shaving again. I don’t use this in isolation, but rather with the whole wet shaving routine of pre-shave oil (and shaving only after either a shower or a hot towel treatment), high quality shave soap or cream bowl lathered with a brush (or occasionally face lathered with a brush), DE razor, alum block, plus the aftershave lotion. It is alcohol based so I do use a body moisturizer on my face after I use this aftershave (though the times I haven’t, this didn’t seem to dry my face at all). This aftershave really does help to cool some of the sore spots after shaving. It feels great on my skin. And coupled with the moisturizer lotion my skin feels great for hours after.

Good Clean Scent. I Will Put This in My Standard Aftershave Rotation!
I tried Proraso for the first time recently, and at first wasn’t crazy about the smell.I was actually going to throw it away after one day AND am glad I didn’t because…My wife and son liked it, so I decided not to throw it away and now LOVE it! go figure/The smell is hard to describe. I would say it has a clean smell that does not last too long, and goes with the Proraso shaving cream that I also recently started using. The shaving cream is actually a different Proraso scent (green tube) but I think the go well.I plan to keep this in my standard rotation of after shave lotions; Along with Aqua Velva, Skin Bracer and Gillette. I like this one the best right now.

smells great, I rub it in my beard after shaving my head and neck.
At first I missed the alcohol sting of another Proraso after shave product, but this does have a little bit of that, and smells awesome! Awesome! I rub it in my beard after shaving my head and neck.

Proraso shaving products are excellent and affordable. Proraso needs to increase the scent of their Sandlewood aftershave. I tried their Sandlewood the scent was not there or was so weak. The aftershave quality is good except it has very very weak almost unnoticeable aroma.

All of the Proraso products that I’ve purchased have been excellent, for value and quality. This after shave is no different.
