A Life-Changing Guide!
The Joe Hippensteel Method is not just a book; it’s a transformative journey. Joe’s groundbreaking approach to flexibility and physical wellness, focusing on 18 variables for flexibility, takes it to a new level. This book goes beyond traditional fitness mantras, delving deep into how we can achieve optimal physical health. What truly sets this book apart is its emphasis on the mental side of the process. It’s a comprehensive guide to understanding the intricate connection between mind and body. The insights into how cognitive and emotional states can influence our physical well-being are eye-opening.Each chapter is a blend of scientific understanding and practical application, particularly the Muscle Lock concept, and has been a game-changer for me. This book has profoundly impacted my life, reshaping not just my physical routines but also my mental approach to health and wellness. For anyone looking to transform their physical and mental health, get this book!. It’s a testament to the power of understanding and working with our bodies rather than against them. A truly enlightening read!

Feels like a scam
I purchased the book in hopes of finding a nice stretching routine with some background on each stretch.Instead I received an author constantly repeating himself and telling me to go watch videos on his website which are locked behind a paywall. The videos are not free with the purchase of the book.I returned this book because this felt very scammy.

Very helpful read
Excellent read. I’m already quite familiar with the system as I’ve used it myself for several years (first used the videos then went to seminars and eventually certification training). For me, the book was an excellent compliment to the videos and in-person trainings because: 1) It is easier for me to read, underline, and study important points in print vs. hearing it and taking notes; 2) Some of the stories and examples in the book are new and helped clarify points that I didn’t fully understand from the videos/ seminars; 3) The book was a good overall refresher for me.I’d recommend the book to experienced folks similar to me who want a refresher of the content. I could also see the book being useful to those who are unfamiliar with the system but want an affordable introduction before spending money on the video courses or booking a session with Joe or a UHP trainer.I would not recommend the book, on its own, for fully learning the UHP stretching program. From my experience, the nuances of performing some of the stretches correctly are best explained in video or in-person. I understand why some reviewers were disappointed that the book referred them to the videos/ website. But I don’t think this is a defect in the book – I think its just a natural limitation to what can be taught in book format. I’ve never found it easy to learn physical movements (ie. yoga, weight lifting, body weight exercises) from print alone. I’ve always needed a video, in-person, or even Zoom experience to fully learn physical movements. So I give the book 5 stars for being a great refresher or introduction to the full UHP system.

Great guy, poor book
I believe Joe has a lot to offer and I’ve learned invaluable lessons from him. There are several issues with this book though unfortunately..Teaching stretching in book form doesnt work that well, so the book will lead to disappointment. It should have been marketed as a companion to the video course. You wanna learn how to stretch UHP-style? Be prepared to fork over 6-700$ for the video course.A large part of it are just transcripts of videos from his online video courses. If you’ve already seen them there isnt much new information in the book. It’s more of a refresher.Joe repeats himself a lot. Some passages are repeated almost verbatim, and it generally seems like the book wasnt edited by an editor at all.Too much of the book is a sales pitch of himself and his method. People dont want to pay money to read a sales pitch.

The book
I liked the book a lot. I have been following Joe Hippensteel Method of stretching for awhile with a lot of success. I stayed away from Physiotherapists, doctors and other wellness practitioners to control my pain when I was injured. The pain is gone and I might have healed entirely both my shoulders. The book reinforced my belief in stretching and training for health and performance perfomance.

Great Information. Poorly Packaged
I bought this copy because David Goggins mentioned that Joe Hippensteel helped him recover from his maladies resulting from running and abusing his body. The information in the book is goodâ¦however he sort of rambles on as if heâs just talking. He does admit that a lot of his material is just transcribed text from his videos and this makes it really hard to follow. I got to the point where I just started skimming the pages to glean information. This book could be so much better if it was organized better.

Focus on the Important
Even if you arent a fan of the book enough cant be said about the method. I had stopped training and playing sports beacuse of a shoulder bursitis and knee pain. I have tried numerous methods and therapies and this is the only one that made it all go away. Focus on the content and the method. If anything I recommend buying the beginning 6 exercises and focusing on those. They will change your body.

I have been waiting and anticipation for years for this book!!! I am 34 years old and I have suffered from multiple injuries including herniated discs, bulged discs, chronic neck pain, ankle problems ankle stiffness and several other issues that I was unable to find an answer for for over a decade. When I came across Joe’s name and a book written by David Goggins I took it upon myself to reach out to Joe and to sign up for the next course that he had available. I can tell you that this man is the real deal. I thought to myself I will give this a real shot. I will put in the time into the stretches and to following his method. Within 2 months every single issue I suffered from was resolved. I practice his method for approximately 10 to 20 minutes every day to keep myself in peak performance. I haven’t made it all the way through the book yet but what I have read is outstanding and this would be a book that should be on anyone’s shelf that suffers from any type of pain. It is also the only solution that I have found that can fully take away migraines when they occur. Thanks for finally delivering on this gem that I will cherish Joe! I believe Joes method will revolutionize the chiropractic and physiology world as we know it.

I expected this book to actually contain valuable info on how to stretch properly and perfom at my prime with minimal injury risk. Instead, it just explains Joe’s background story, some transcripts of the video course and very, very, VERY cheap pictures of the 24 ROM stretches. What the book repeats multiple times is that a book can’t teach anything like the video course or real life sessions. But honestly, it’s not even trying. Also, the video course and the life sessions are incredibly expensive. I’d have to sell an arm and a leg, but then the course would be useless.

Thank you very much Joe Hippensteel, after more than 15 years of chronic back pain, now I’m pain free, I played basketball for 25 years, I have had many coaches, athletic trainers and physiotherapists but no one has ever understood the cause of my back pain, now the pain is gone and I feel my posture clearly changing, all of this reaching the standards of the Ranges Of Motion positions you talk about in your book. I would like to express my deepest gratitude, your knowledge and experience have changed my life (anyone who suffers from chronic pain knows what I’m talking about), I honestly can’t understand the negative reviews, maybe they are just people who don’t have pain or expect immediate miracles without work, I will definitely buy his program too because I’ve never found nothing comparable in my entire life, and believe me, I know what I’m talking about. I will never know how to thank you Joe Hippensteel.
