Sturdy and Durable!
This is a great house for outside. I used it for my turtle enclosure and they go in there on their own. Itâs water proof on the top and opens real easy. Yes, you have to put it together on your own, but it was a fun craft for me and it was so easy! I did it on the living room floor. Very cute design and exactly like the pic! The bottom is not as warm as you can see through the wood planks, so if your using it for an outdoor dog or cat house make sure to add something for winter months to keep them warm⦠(if you must keep them outdoors).

Nice cat house
This is a nice cat house. We just got it today so canât say how it holds up just yet. My only complaint is that my husband got it all put together and when we got the roof part out to attach we noticed thereâs a busted spot on top right side. Had I seen this before he got it put together then I would have sent it back. Should not come damaged brand new!I reached out to Amazon to see if getting a replacement of just the roof was an option. Of course not. Nothing is ever made easy on us! We would have had to take it all apart to send back and even then still couldnât get a replacement just a refund they said. I even offered to send photos of the damaged item. Kind of ridiculous!Nonetheless we decided to just keep it as is. It is a nice wooden box with a generous space inside. Was pretty easy to put together besides the hinges on the roof. They werenât made to be flush with the back which is kinda odd imo. I do like that the lid opens on top and stays open without having to hold it. It also closes pretty gently. Doesnât slam down.We had a stray cat show up so wanted something for her to go in, in case she stays. She went inside of it once and came back out. We did put her a heat lamp and some blankets out while waiting for this to come. Thatâs where she still likes to lay for now. Hopefully sheâll get used to her new house.I do like it and do recommend it for this price point. Iâd just say to check all your pieces before you start putting it together.

Easy to assemble
It’s perfect easy to assemble but I bought it for a stray cat that believes she owns me. For some reason she won’t go inside of it. I’ve even put catnip to encourage her to go in..her food bowl.. but she still stood half way out to eat it( I think its just her). But it’s durable…and no water has gotten in.. it’s been in rain and in the cold and very hot weather for a couple years now I think? and no issues..doesn’t look distracting on the patio

The structure itâs okay and pretty easy to assemble.The disappointing part is that this product was advertised as a heated cat house and itâs not!It just insulted but not heated:( Since I need this for my feral cat that I am taking care of for the last 3+year I will make it work. I have a heated pad that I am planning to use for this cat house. Itâs just disappointing that the product description is misleading! Be aware!

Larger than it looks.
I was initially disappointed–looking at the pieces I couldn’t see how an adult cat could fit inside. However, once I out it together, I find it’s very generously sized.It’s important to know that the “paint” these little houses come with isn’t really paint, but a very thin wash of colour. The houses won’t stand a PNW winter as is, so i gave the outside 2 coats of good exterior paint, and the inside 1 coat. I then added insulation to the ceiling, back, and sides. Voilà –the house will be ready for action once the final coat dries.The pieces go together easily, but i recommend a second pair of hands for putting on the roof.The waterproof cover that accompanied this house STINKS. I opened it and aired it out well and the odor has now dissipated.Overall, I am quite pleased.
