Works like a charm
Had my dog chew up the old sensors, wires were gone and sensor toasted! Ordered these, came with well informed instructions. Took me sometime through trial and error of find the correct wiring for my garage door model, now it opens and closes with out holding down the button to stay closed!

Easy to replace and works perfectly
Grabbed this item since our sensor eyes seemed to be broken (LEDs were not lighting up at all). I wasn’t sure if it was the sensors, the wiring, or something in the main unit. Opted to try replacing the two sensor eyes since this items was pretty inexpensive. Took about ten minutes and everything works great. The crimp on wire connectors are a nice touch. Thank you.

It did not work and didn’t arrive when promised
I paid an extra $5 (could have paid $15) to get it next day. Late the next day i got notified it would come the following day (when the $15 version could have arrived). I wired it up per scant instructions. No joy. To troubleshoot i wired it directly to the opener. I discovered that my old sensors both worked fine (I knew one was working), my new sensors i just bought did not work, and i had a wiring issue not a sensor issue. I fixed the wire where the mouse chewed and everything works fine. I would have used the new sensors to update, but they were inoperable. I have a Liftmaster about 7-8 years old. Safety Sensor Beam Eyes for 41A5034 worked with my 1995 Craftmans Garge Door took about 20 minutes to install. Add said 1997 and newer worked great on my 1995 Craftmans price was very good.

Wiring instructions are wrong
The sensors do work great. Just when you splice into the wires of your existing garage door opener it is not black stripe on black stripe. It is black stripe on white and black stripe on gray. Just the opposite of what they tell you in the instructions.

This is the second set of these sensors and they donât light up when connected. Exact part number as the original sensor for Lift Master 8550 Elite but do not recognize or respond to the power head .

Easy install to fix my garage door
It is really annoying when your garage sensor quick working. At least you can temporarily work around it by holding your garage door button until the door is entirely down, but a few days of doing that get old quick (we are spoiled aren’t we?)! Anyway, I order these because they came with brackets and I wasn’t sure if the sensors would mount well on my old brackets. I included pictures of my install and one of my old sensors. You can see that the older sensor was a different style, so I was crossing my fingers that these would work fine. I am happy to say they did! If you look carefully in the picture, you can see that (like other users have reported) I had to swap the polarity. In other words the all white wire from the old sensor went to the white and black wire for the new sensor and vice-versa for the other wire. I used the included wire connectors, which were easy. You just clip the wires, no stripping of the wire insulation is necessary, insert them into the connector, and squeeze the colored button with a pair of pliers until it is down all the way. Some grease to protect the connection squeezes out, and the connection is made. Easy peazy lemon squeezy!I liked the brackets too. I unbolted the old brackets from the wall. These were made so they securely clip over the garage door tracks. Quick and easy. It probably took me longer to write this review than to install the sensors, which was nice since my old ones failed in the middle of winter and it was about 20°F out when I was changing them.Once the install was done, I pressed the button on the garage door opener and it worked! I tried it again, stepping in front of the invisible beam, and the door stopped and went back up. The green one is the receiver, and its LED will go out if the beam is blocked. The LEDs are bright and easy to see from across the garage even in full regular light.No complaints beyond the wire swap thing. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.

Good price-works fine. Way less expensive than calling in a garage door company.
All other comments were correct that you will have to cross the wires. But, other than that, it has worked great. Only took about 10 minutes although I chose to use small wire nuts as opposed to the crimp connectors they sent with the package.

Did not connect to what i was trying to connect it to. When i contacted the seller to return they wanted me to return it with a tracking number sending it as registered mail which costs extra. NOT GOOD.
