My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense. Sniffing Out Justice. This is book two in the series Canine Defense. Carol is an awesome author, I love her work. This one is well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. I know you are going to love it.Kristina Ashbaugh-Richards and her search and rescue dog are out searching for a lost camper. Her old crush Tony) joins them. He is now the enemy as their fathers had a serious break up that affect them all. She could be nice though. They find a dead body instead of the camper. She goes to her best friends house and after dinner witnesses her best friends murder. The killer heard her gasp and chased her down. She ran out into the road as a car drove by. He almost hit her. Tony!Detective Tony Sanderson was driving down the road when two figures ran out in front of him. He hit the man and he rolled over the hood. The woman was running down the road toward his parent’s house. He ran after the injured man but lost him. He returned to his truck to find someone inside. His old crush, Kris!A terrifying journey to stay one step ahead of the killer. God has a plan for these two. Aplan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

This was such a great read! The mystery of this one was really well done and we even got a bit of a bonus mystery as well. This was a quck and exciting read that also lays the groundwork for book 3 as well. Awesome read
I am not a dog lover, but I love a good K-9 suspense story for some reason. And this is a really good K-9 suspense novel. It is also a serial killer story, so even better. 🙂 I am always amazed at how much Love Inspired authors pack into these little books. It comes in at 208 pages, but the author got a lot into those 208 pages. Non stop suspense, romance, really bad weather, and a really, really bad guy. And even a cold case solved. I loved the book. It had great and likable characters, including Gavin, Kris’ son. And it is refreshing to read novels occasionally where the couple already knows each other and has had some kind of romantic relationship or attraction. The book also had a great lesson. Kris thought she knew what had happened between her father and Tony’s father, and had carried a lot of bitterness and anger towards his family…..only to discover she didn’t know everything. And I loved how his family helped her after how she had felt towards them.The book had a great climatic ending to it. Oh you know in these books the main characters aren’t going to die, yet a good author can write parts like that so you are still on the edge of your seat hoping for rescue. And it also had a great ending on the romantic aspect of the book. :)Special thanks to the author for an advance copy of this novel. This is well written and keeps your attention–and I enjoyed it, I knew it had a religious theme–as others in these series do–but for me-this is too involved with a Church theme.

Packed with excitement, suspense, action, and unexpected twists from beginning to end, I enjoyed reading this interesting story set in the Florida Panhandle. The hero and heroine had been friends at one time, but many things changed, and they went in opposite directions. Now they are thrown back together when they respond to a search and rescue call. Kris and her dog, Bella, had been active volunteers before her husband was killed in an auto accident. This was her first time back out in more than eighteen months. She is caught off guard when her old friend Tony shows up to volunteer. She had no idea he was back in the area. She tries to keep him at armâs length because she has not gotten over the past. He really does not understand what caused their friendship to go off the rails. He is soon spending every free minute trying to protect Kris from the serial killer who has got her in his crosshairs because she fits the profile of the women he targets. You will want to read this story to learn the truth of what really happened and whether they can get over the past. I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
