Excellent choice for travel
I bought these for my wife because I wanted poles that I could pack in a suitcase and that would provide added support when walking on various moderate terrain and steps that might be encountered when on a tour.I liked how easy it was to assemble/disassemble them and how easy it was to adjust their height. Once assembled (takes less than a minute), they felt sturdy and we were confident they would suit our purpose.At this price point I think they are an excellent value. I don’t know if they would stand up to rigorous hikes such as on the Appalachian Trail, but that is not what I was looking for.

Is exactly what I needed when I go mini hiking. Easy to use the quality seems very well done. The only thing I wish the bag has is straps so you can put it on your back to Carrie these polls easily. Easy to adjust the length of these poles

Good poles, substandard tips
I have a pair of Black Diamond Ergo Cork poles that I’ve used for years: the only thing I dislike about them is their length when collapsed, which is why I looked at Z-fold poles.These Trekology poles look like they’re well-made, and, after 35+ miles, they are, with one major exception. First, the cork feels nice on the hands (even though I started wearing gloves while hiking). The segments lock together quite nicely, and the “assembled” poles are sturdy: I trust them to help out on ascents and descents. For the overall build quality, I would recommend them. Would…The exception: As pictured, this is what the tip looks like after 35+ (hard) miles. The carbide seems just as good as any other carbide-tipped pole I’ve used, but the rubber tip fell off after a few feet (on established trails), and the basket continually unscrewed itself until I just pocketed it. I never did find the rubber tip.Those things happen, and baskets and tips can be replaced so long as the plastic those things mount to remain intact. Referring back to my photo, the plastic looks like it’s been peeled like a banana, and I wonder what kind of longevity I’m looking at overall. Because of the questionable tip construction, I’m wary of recommending these poles overall, which is too bad, because I really wanted them to work out. (Granted, they’re maybe a quarter of the cost of, say, the Leki equivalent…)

Packs easily into 30L backpacks, easy to use, fairly robust and comes with various weather-related adjustments. What you see is what you get.
