Tons of of deep house missions for the reason that Nineteen Sixties have captured gorgeous pictures of the cosmos. Many of those scientific photographs may also be labeled as artwork. This guide highlights greater than 100 examples, revealing the splendor of our universe.
This guide is a gallery of human accomplishment that celebrates the scientists and engineers who push civilization—together with the ways in which we produce and expertise artwork—past the bodily limits of our planet. The pictures, chosen by Dr. Jim Bell, symbolize a few of the most interesting examples of the artwork of deep house exploration, most of them involving high-tech robotic emissaries. The pictures are loosely organized by distance from the Earth, in order that readers will slowly journey on a journey farther and farther away from house, in the end voyaging out to vistas of the farthest-known locations within the universe.

If you are interested in astronomy you may want to check out this book.
As someone who has been fascinated with anything to do with the cosmos for more than 7 decades I am always interested in books on astronomy, cosmology and related topics. This is why when I saw the 214 page large hardcover format book while browsing on Amazon (The Art of the Cosmos: Visions from the frontier of deep space exploration by Jim Bell) I decided to purchase it.
This excellent book is organized into four interesting sections covering the following material: âThe objects closet to the Sun, Mars, and small bodies of he universe, Outer solar system worlds of gas and ice: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, and Cosmic frontiers: stars, Nebulae and Galaxies.â
The breathtaking photographs in this book are nothing short of amazing. If you have a passion for space photography and art you may want to check out this excellent book. I loved it.
Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Tactical Principles of the most effective Combative Systems).

Just when you think youâve seen it all, you turn the page! Spectacular!!
This isnât the book you want to start at 10 PM. Itâs now 1:15 AM. While the photographs are outstanding, the story and explanations of what you are witnessing is fascinating. I have the Kindle version and am able to zoom in on areas of the photographs and follow the hyperlinks to additional information and videos. This presentation is ⦠Stellar!!! Thanks so much. 🙂

Should You PhotoShop Space?
First of all, I haven’t read this book and I suspect the images are breathtaking.
That said I’m bothered by NASA’s long tradition of “Photoshopping” visual and x-ray images to make them more compelling to viewers. The photoshopping transformed the images into iconic pioneering themes e.g canyons, mountain landscapes, think “Pillars of Creation.” The purpose was understandable: NASA, always struggling for government funding, needed public buy-in.
The problem is awestruck viewers thought this enhanced version of reality was reality itself…and NASA never told them any differently.
We already live in a world where “objective reality” has become fungible; merely a construct the media, politicians, and ideologues transform to meet their needs. This further example, by a long trusted agency, has always troubled me.

The book is great. Amazon gift wrapping (or not) was a con this time!
Amazon cheated me this time.

Just gorgeous. Takes you beyond the here and now and helps you realise that we are just a brief speck of dust but also part of something inconceivably immense and awe-inspiring.
