Best Buy For The Money lb per lb
This set of dumbbells are awesome. First they are a great space saver. Second, they are safe and quick to adjust. Also, there are many other mechanical adjustable dumbbells that are similar but the weights get stuck as the locking system wares down over time. However, this system is not mechanical, the adjustable pin system is easy to use and never fails to slide out the weight amount as you need, it’s full proof and they never get stuck. The paint finish and quality are excellent. Also, I like the smaller foot print of their design and I though they would be awkward to handle but just the opposite is true. Since they are compact I feel I can handle the heavier weight with more control. I am close to 60 and for me 50 lbs is probably enough for most exercises, but for certain exercises such as shoulder shrugs I can still jump up to 70lbs on each hand. I like that I can increase to 90 lbs but I probably won’t need to get there I my age. Regardless, if you’re not a professional body builder and plan on exceeding 90lbs on each hand these are a great deal and product. I am extremely happy I bought them as they have done an amazing job with the design and the person who created this system really though outside the box. Oh and by the way, the box design is also a bonus especially when you go heavy and you plant them on top of your knees to kick them up for a dumbbell press. You’ll see if you buy them. BTW, I don’t have any endorsement with this company I just was impressed with the overall value I received, I know a good product when I use one and this is a great product.

Easy to use
We went from moving from a house to an RV so we needed to find an efficient compact way to still workout on the road vs standard dumbbells. These are easy to use. They take some time to setup as you workout but it is what we were looking for and needed in our compact space. I love how the grip is perfect to hold, not too small and not too thick. The square shape i prefer to be honest over the standard dumbbells because they are easy to align when bench pressing or using them for pushups. I also bought the straight bar! Very nice. Now I need them to come up with a compact bench and squat rack.

Excellent price point, well built, easy to use, gets the job done
This product has a simple, elegant, and clever design. It is solid and sturdy with no moving parts / spinning gears, making it easy to use and very durable in the long term. I think that this combination of simple and effective makes these dumbells an exceptional value at this price point (they are likely cheaper to produce than other more complicated designs). Quite frankly, while shopping around, other similar products just look like they are going to break, have weird gaps in the weights depending on the weight selected, and so on.Swapping between the 10 lb increments takes just a few seconds. Adding / subtracting the 2.5 lb increments takes another 15-20 seconds. Overall, there is no comparison to the standard plate twist dumb bell bars that this is likely replacing for most buyers.In summary, if you’re in the market for reasonably priced adjustable dumbbells, i highly recommend this product. Its simple, effective, durable, and reasonably priced.

I had my worries…
I’ve seen so many people have issues with the design of these and how they are far different from regular dumbbells. They take a little bit of an adjustment in thinking about it, but once you get used to it, these things are awesome. They just feel right. I was really afraid that I would pick these up and instantly hate them. They’re so quick and easy to adjust, easy to use, and obviously don’t take near the amount of space a whole set of dumbbells would. I love these things

For the price point, this set of dumbbells really can’t be beat. They are a very durable and compact set. However, the pin weight selecting mechanism is plastic. I am not too concerned with the durability of it. But, it’s annoying when the plastic bends around which makes it hard to select a desired weight.Also, the feel of these dumbbells are very different from typical commercial gym ones. You hand is enclosed within a cage, limiting some range of motion on certain exercises. This may take getting used it. Also, the weight is around 5 lbs top heavy. This is more so noticeable when selecting lower weights.Overall, I feel like the pros heavily outweigh the cons. Fair price, compact, durable. The square, flat surface makes it comfortable to rest on your knees unlike most adjustable dumbbells.

One of the powerblocks has the plates BENT, so I’m unable to use the pin to select the weight. The other one did arrive and works just fine.Since they’re sent in separate packages, I hope to get the defected one replaced.EDIT: A brand new powerblock will arrive soon to replace the defected one, I didn’t have to pay any extra shipping fees, great customer service! 🙂
