Very comfortable, good shoe to transition to barefoot shoes
I recently developed some foot problems, and I needed to switch to shoes with a wide toe box and a zero drop heel. I’d gotten a pair of Whitins’ minimalist shoes – and they’re good, but I’m old, and my feet were having a hard time adjusting to the thin, very flexible soles. The thin soles exercise your feet a lot – which is good in the long run, but my feet will take awhile to build that strength. In the meantime, I want to walk longer distances. This new model is perfect for me.It has the wide toe box, and the zero drop heel – but the sole is not quite as flexible as the minimalist version, and it has some cushioning. It’s not at all as rigid or cushioned as regular trainers, which is great – a lot of the feel of the surface you’re walking on comes through, and the soles also flex enough to exercise and strengthen your feet, unlike traditional trainers. They’re a good intermediate choice on the way to wearing minimalist shoes – or just good on their own.Another benefit for me is that the uppers are made of a tough but stretchy fabric which molded around my bunion, one of the issues I’m dealing with. The shoes don’t irritate it, saving me one more problem. All in all, I’m very happy with these.Update – 8 months later, and I’m still very happy with these shoes. They still look new, they’re still comfortable. My feet are stronger and I can walk two or three miles again with no foot pain. The foot issues I had have improved a lot, in large part because of these shoes. My toes have spread because they have enough room, now. That’s helped my bunion, and the circulation in my feet. It’s just more comfortable to walk in these than in any other shoes I’ve owned.

Best Shoes I’ve Bought
Ok so I have run the Boston Marathon amongst others and done many triathlons. I also used to run cross country and track in middle school and high school. I’ve been through a lot of shoes in my years. Over the last 15 years, I have looked for a low profile show that had the perfect balance between cushion and flat profile that wasn’t doing something weird on the heel or wasn’t too tight, etc… There were some shoes that were good but there was usually one little thing that was off about it, like the tongue rubbed the top of my foot, or the heel scraped the back of my foot, or the toe was too narrow. For me, and for what I look for in a shoe, this Whitin shoe is my favorite shoe that I have run in out of the box, ever. I went on a run today and it was just perfect. Flat with cushion, plenty of room for the toes, and comfortable padding in the seams in all the other areas. I don’t know how long this shoe will last or if this shoe will be for everyone, but I am really impressed so far! I normally wear a 10.5 and I measured my foot and determined that the 10 would be adequate, since they don’t have half sizes. It fit like a glove immediately and I don’t even want to take them off. lol

Canât beat for the price but needs a little help
First off I have been loving these for about 2 weeks now. Exactly what I was looking for: affordable, wide toe box, zero drop but with some midsole cushion. I also tried the converse like hitops which were trash in comparison.Out of the box they felt decent, but after wearing them for a few days I could feel my feet getting sore due to the poor insoles. Only thing there is a thin foam piece that does very little. I replaced them with some insoles I bought for some old shoes I no longer wear, and wow they took this shoe to the next level. Comfort is as good as it can get standing on my feet for 10+ hrs.Now the minor downsides. First off as mentioned the insoles. The insoles I put in there are as much or more than the shoes themselves. Iâll come back to this in a bit and why I donât mind. The major flaw seems to be build quality. I donât see these lasting too long. I see the outsole separating before the shoe is worn out. You can actually see the glue and how they are attached. In fact the toe on my left foot is already stating to separate a little. With that said the benefits outweigh the cons. I donât mind using the nice insoles 1) because o already have them laying around and 2) theyâll last longer than a pair of shoes, so I can just reuse them. Yes these shoes will probably wear out faster than Iâd like but at their price I could buy 3x these versus one pair of Altra Lone Peaks.Iâll probably still invest in some lone peak hikers for when I want something nicer and a mid top, that way I can switch between them and make them both last longer.

Great for wide feet
Great fit – nice wide toe box and comfortable for walking, running, and workouts. Good quality and excellent price.

Shockingly good
At this price point, it’s a great shoe. Runs a little large, but wide toe box. Low on cushion but very flat and stable on the ground. I don’t put many steps in each day on these shoes but my feet never feel wrong after wearing. Laces are kinda long.

Comfortable
I wear for walking and around the office. It was immediately comfortable with no break-in period. Lots of room for toes to splay, but not feel loose. The toe box is shaped like a clog type shoe. I usually wear size 11 and ordered as such. Good fit. The shoe appears well constructed. At this price point, I can’t complain about the generic design.

Decent for the cost
They are comfortable to wear but both pair I bought randomly squeek when I walk. Toe box is great and they are versatile, bit the quality is a bit suspect.

My feet are the happiest theyâve ever been in these shoes!98% of the footwear on the market doesnât work for my feet for several reasons. I have really strange feet. These are the perfect shoes for my feet!I love that these shoes are roomy in the toes. Flat, zero drop!! Yet enough cushioning in the sole to be comfy without being excessive. Wide. Not tipsy- very solid sole keeping my feet from turning over. Yet the Heel isnât too wide.PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE THESE!!!!!!

Lots of toe room. I wear these daily. Happy with them.

Es de lo mejor que hay en tenis minimalistas o de punta ancha, sin embargo llevo 6 meses de uso y la parte del talón se rompió, raspa al caminar o correr
