    Excellent for toddler and prek
We love the message of this book. Our grandson is autistic and I thought the theme would center around being ok to be different, but it’s a message for every child. The idea being that purple people status can be achieved by anyone. He picks this as our nightly read a few times a week, and he has 3 book shelves of books to choose from.

    Girl Scout Book
I bought this to read to my troop while earning the Purple People Badge. The girls thought it was funny and cute and it led to some good conversations about how to be a purple person.I’d recommend it for everyone, not just scouts.

    Amazing Message!!
I am a third and fourth grade special education teacher, and I bought this book to go along with our morning meetings (and because I love Kristen Bell <3). During our morning meetings, I focus on social emotional learning skills and what it means to be a good citizen and overall, a good person. This book EXCEEDED my expectations!! I first read it to my six year old who is in first grade, who loved it, then I read it to my class. They loved the book SOO MUCH, they asked if we could have a purple party at the end of the year!! To which of course I said yes, especially since my favorite color is purple!! Haha... If you are a parent to little ones, or if you are an elementary school teacher, this is a must read!! Definitely add this to your classroom library or home library NOW!!

    Great art, cute book
This book is beautifully illustrated and holds little one’s attention just by looking at the pictures. The story however can be a little confusing to little ones because they are explaining what it means to be a “purple person”. I have a 7 and a 5 year old and I saw the look of confusion on their faces trying to grasp what it meant to be purple. Since the people weren’t actually purple. At the end of the book I feel like they kind of got but at the same time a tad confused. The story is cute and talks about a lot of good traits but I think the kids will need to be a little older to understand or it will take some explaining.

A nice gift for my daughter who loves the color PURPLE!
It was as a gift for my daughter who absolutely loves purple; she has so many things that are purple, so it seemed the perfect gift for her, even though it was more like a joke-type gift … it made her laugh, so it was worth it!

    Proud to be purple
I might be slightly biased because I love Kristen Bell. However, this is also a great book, in a time like ours currently with the struggles with justice, politically, and even the pandemic…. everything going on in society right now is separating people into different boxes and based on the news you are reading they say group A or group B is right and the other is so wrong…. I find much of the world depressing because we are focusing too much on our differences and negativity. I love that this book is teaching kids to look for similarities rather than differences (and even politically, rather than being left or right, red or blue, be purple) it’s so simple and sweet but yet needs to be more common in our life, we really do need more purple people.

I liked the purple and it’s my favourite colour. I like the pictures and the story. I think anyone aged 4-9 should read this book.Lily, aged 8 almost 9So as you can see my daughter loved it, however I would personally take a star off for the price. It WAS a good book and I like the messages it was giving out but given the amount of time it took to read I think the pricing for a kindle copy was massively overpriced. There are some adult books cost half the price for classic literature and novels. I feel that the pricing has been influenced by the author and celebrity status.
