The stand DOES work! Amazing weight set! Perfect for beginners.
When I got these for my beginner Pilates workouts, I absolutely loved everything about them except for the stand/rack (keep reading, the rack is actually awesome). The colors are so vibrant and beautiful and the material feels really good. The weights are 2lb, 3lb, and 4lb – this is perfect for a beginner like me who has never any used weights before. 4 lbs sounds light until you do your first 20 bicep curls ever – thatâs when I realized they are perfect for my beginner level to build strength without hurting myself or flaring up my previous back and hip injuries. They have the hexagon type shape so they donât roll away when you set them down. WELL I just couldnât understand why the stand was pictured as an âAâ shape and mine was âstuckâ straight up and down so the weights had to be man handled to get them out of the rack. Or so I thought. Keep reading – I went back and I read through all the other reviews and didnât see any other complaints about the stand, so I decided I had to take another look at mine. Well it turns out it was a user error. Lol. I wrestled with it trying to get a screwdriver under the handle to see if the screws needed to be loosened in order for it to slant in the âAâ shape so the weights would come out more easily. I also tried to pull it really hard. Then I finally just grabbed one side of the stand and tried unscrew it to see if I could take it apart and rebuild it better. To my surprise – each side EASILY turned and clicked into place – with the weights FACING OUTWARD instead of inward. Thereâs plenty of space to get them out of the rack now! Watch the video I posted with this review to see how easy it is. Lol how embarrassing. But I know I canât be the only one who thought they got a defective stand. Lol.

I recently have been doing physical therapy for carpal tunnel. I was looking for weights I could use at home that made me want to work out my hands. I saw these for less than $10 and immediately added to cart. These are cute! So cute that my 7 yr old keeps snagging them from me to “work out too”. They have smooth coating on the weights, so the grip is comfortable and great for my petite hands. I think they will hold up for a long time, and as a set of 2 I think its a great value for your money!

Perfect color, handsize and materials
My physical therapist suggested I use 1 lb. hand weights so I could continue to use them on non-therapy days for weighted movements I did in PT recovering from shoulder surgery. There were many dumbbell brands to choose from, but I’m thrilled I chose this Lionscool brand. The dumbbells/hand weights arrived quickly, carefully bubble-wrapped and zip-tied together so they didn’t damage each other (neoprene coating), nor bounce around in transit, plus packaging was strong to support weight of dumbbells. These hand weights come in great colors with weight numbers on the end. I don’t feel the neoprene will degrade through use or age. The weights work well and I love the light purple color. I also purchased the 2 lb. weights, and they were packaged identically. The two sets DID arrived separately, which was actually nice if you are limited on how much you can pick up due to my shoulder surgery (I had them shipped to an Amazon locker). It will be some time before I move up to the 2lb weights, but I’m glad I purchased both sets. I would definitely purchase this brand again. I especially like that they are not slick. The neoprene coating covering all of the dumbbell(s) feel a little sandy/gritty, but does not hurt your hand, nor will they slip from your hand accidentally, and six-sided ends. They seem priced similarly to other brands, but since I plan to have these a long time, I figured, why not get the colors-themed sets that I like best, with non-slip weights. (I have 2 and 3 lb. single dumbbells that I purchased at a store which were on sale years ago that are slick, glossy, vinyl-type material colored with end numbers fading off the weights). I prefer these hand weights MUCH more…material, color, shape, and size. I have a larger hand (about an 8), but these do fit my hands fine, and feel secure in my hands as well. Good luck!
