I was excited to try Eight Saints Smooth Sailing Retinol Serum after my success with other Eight Saints products that I’ve purchased. I can confidently say itâs the best retinol serum Iâve used.This serum has done wonders for my skin, noticeably reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. My skin tone has evened out, and my pores look smaller. Thanks to the hyaluronic acid, my skin stays hydrated and plump, even though I use the product 3-4 times a week before bed (after I have washed my face and let it thoroughly dry). The serum spreads evenly and glides on–it’s not sticky. Unlike other serums that I have used in the past, Smooth Sailing Retinol Serum has not irritated my skin at all.I also love that it contains green tea, which helps calm any irritation or redness. This is my first time using a product from Eight Saints. Iâve been Smooth Sailing Retinol Serum for about a week and Iâm loving it! I apply at night before bed. Good for beginners
I’ve tried a few of Eight Saint’s products and liked them a lot. They are solid. So when there was a good deal, I decided to give a try to this retinol serum.I liked the consistency – not too watery but also not too thick or sticky. Absorbs well and leaves your skin very smooth. Very gentle on your skin, neutral scent. Very nice, natural ingredients.That said, I didn’t see any major improvement in my skin. I used it for a week. But I’m 52 years old so my skin needs a good “punch”. This makes me think that this product is not very strong and best for beginners or those with sensitive skin.And that’s the thing: it’s not clear what’s the concentration of retinol in this product. The package says nothing about it. Retinoids usually come in different strengths and that’s how you know where to start and how to proceed.Also, the package says to use this serum “during day only” (retinoids usually are recommended as a night time treatment) and even suggests using it in combination with Eight Saint’s retinol cream, which again suggests that both of these products are most likely low strength and more suitable to younger and/or beginner users.

My latest obsession!
Actually on my second bottle of this miracle serum. I have not been very consistent with any skincare routine before discovering Eight Saints and my skin has been less than ideal. Now all my skincare products are from them and I am loving the results.I use it with the retinol cream 3 times a week alternating with their niacinamide serum and Up the Anti cream. The serum absorbs easily, very lightweight and does not leave a greasy feel. It has helped decrease the fine lines in my crowâs feet area. My skin feels more plump and youthful. Really works with no irritation!
I am 59 years old and have age related loss of elasticity in my skin along with wrinkles, sun spots and overall courser skin texture than I had when I was younger. I have sensitive skin and have had redness and flakiness from other Retinol brands, so I was unsure about the Eight Saints Retinol products but gave them shot since I love the brand. I started out cautiously and have been using the Eight Saints Retinol serum and Retinol moisturizer 2 times a week and I have had ZERO itchiness, redness, flaking or peeling at all. In addition, I am already seeing firmer and smoother skin and plan to bump up my skin care routine to include the Eight Saints Retinol serum and Retinol moisturizer to using them every other day, and eventually using them daily.I highly recommend the Retinol serum and moisturizer as well as all of the Eight Saints products!

Iâve been using this product for a week, so canât speak to long term changes, but so far Iâve really enjoyed this product. The serum absorbs fast, doesnât leave a sticky residue, and I wake up with softer feeling skin in the morning. This product hasnât made me break out or any other symptoms, and Iâve been using it nightly. No weird smell either! Recommend so far!
