GREAT BOOK
My kids love this book. it was recommended by my boys football coach to read. I didn’t realize its for middle scholars but I have my 2nd grader read what he can and his older brother read the rest. The both enjoy and recommend for older kids or parents that enjoy reading to their little one.

Be awesome!
My 11 year old tween and I love reading together and this has been a fun encouraging read. It’s for kids but it has been great for me as well. This is a definite yes for a tween trying to stay positive, believe in themselves, and just generally have a better thought process. Buy it! ð

Conversational and uplifting
Even though this is labeled a “children’s book,” I found the content of this book applicable and uplifting to me. The writing style is conversational and the text is broken up with fun illustrations, making this a fast read. The author’s sense of humor shines through. He gives the reader personal examples as well as those from professionals who have worked hard for many years to improve their skills. Readers are also given brain science of creating neural pathways through practice in easy-to-understand language. I will be recommending and gifting this book to anyone who wants to learn new skills and/or just wants a delightful and inspirational read.

Want to be Awesome? This is the book for you.
Picked a copy of this up in Singapore Airport on route to Australia for my Summer/Winter break. Once I got into it, I discovered it was really written with teens and tweens in mind, but that didn’t matter. It’s easy to read and very practical, and with lots of graphics through out the book it’s also inviting for kids. This book has convinced me that I can be a good communicator and relational curriculum support specialist. I just need to put my mind to it and not give up. Definitely suitable for young people from about 10 years old up. Confident 8 & 9 year old readers could also probably handle it. Great book.Thank you Matthew Syed.

I bought this for my 8 year old boy who has just moved to UK from America and he was feeling a little down. Heâs been reading a chapter a day and discusses it with us, sometimes reads it aloud.I wasnât sure if he was absorbing it, but yesterday he tried BMX riding for the first time and was terrified- but he decided to give it a go and ended up loving it! Afterwards he said to me, itâs like what I learned in the book never give up mommy…keep practicing. I love the examples It gives on this, how what we see on tv of the best doesnât show alll the hard work and effort they put in to get that good!As a family we practice growth mind set and and finding positives, but itâs good to find a resource thatâs not coming from parents only!Last night my son also decided to give it to a friend who he thinks it might help as well. Highly recommend!

A great read. However it must be read by you as parent to your kids. This also gives a reason to spend time with them and turn it into an enjoyable story telling session. The book gives out its message in a subtle and interesting way and deals with issues which majority of kids pass through at some stage or the other, especially about self confidence and always feeling that someone else is better than them.
