Sleek super clean design. Temp goes up to 220 so if you like a HOT IRON, this one disappoints. If you have between medium and thin hair and press your hair at the highest temperatures my hair is still frizzy.

This is definitely priced correctly in the less than twenty dollar price range. It doesn’t have a button to keep the straightener closed which would have been nice. I do like the placement of the power / temperature button (one button controls both) located on the inside of the straightener because that way you don’t accidentally hit it while straightening your hair. It didn’t take too long to heat up at the highest setting, approximately 1 to 2 minutes, and once heated up, the temperature light blinks brightly and flashes between the temperature and the power button. It only took two to three passes to straighten or curl my hair. This straightener did snag my hair quite a bit. I did not notice any extra shine however. At this price, I actually did not expect to see any. Considering the price and how well this worked, I would recommend this product.

This hair straightener heats up quickly and works well, seems a good value for the price of $20 USD when reviewed. The power / mode button is located on the inside handle, which is a little awkward to get to but also keeps it from being accidentally pressed when using. It’s got 4 different temperature settings, so there’s not a lot of customization in the temperature but it’s easy to set it and go. Auto shut off in 60 minutes is a good safety feature. Mine when it arrived the item definitely had a strong terrible smell, it will take a while for it to air out but over time it should.

This straightener is quite basic, but I’m someone who doesn’t necessarily look for or need a lot of bells and whistles when it comes to products like this, so that isn’t an issue for me.This does heat up quickly, and it straightens my hair pretty well. I do notice a bit of snagging every so often, which isn’t ideal, but it’s along the lines of what I expect from a straightener at this price point.As the saying goes, “You get what you pay for.” In this case, that means that you get a very basic straightener that works reasonably well, but could be better.
