Fun way to learn new words
This will be the second year using these 180 Day books as curriculum. My daughter is familiar with the different lessons and is really glad to see many of her favorite activities in this first grade book. She loves color by word and sorting words! It’s great to learn while making it engaging and fun!

Worth it
I love this book for my child! He actually really liked it too. He was able to do more than what they recommend in one day for your child, but I do not really see that as a negative! It meant that he was excited to learn the words and put them to use. The book offers pictures, sentences, fill in the blank and a match the clue with its respective word (which I found enlightening). If you want to take the initiative to give your child a head start when it comes to sight words this is perfect. Just make sure to review with them later on!

Words . . . necessary for a child to be an early fluent reader.
This picks-up where 180 days for Kindergarten version of this book leaves off. Similarly, this workbook is good and comprehensive. The author has done an excellent job in choosing relevant words that are grade level appropriate. While many words are not technically “sight” words, these are more complicated than the words for Kindergarten. Words which ever good reader should know automatically, and necessary in order for a child to be an early fluent reader. This workbook presents four new words a week. The week is divided into five days. I would suggest the week be completed in one day. On the first day, the workbook introduces four new words, such as: (i) Know (ii) animal (iii) right, and (iv) should. Each day thereafter, the words are reinforced by the completion of some type of exercise or activity. On the last day, day five, the child is required to write a sentence or two using ALL four of the words. This book is easy enough to be fun, but challenging enough to be meaningful.I agree with comments, some of the pages could have been arranged in a better order to avoid cutting out the next day’s activity.

Good book
I bought this for my sonâs first grade year for homeschool. It is a great book with lots of fun pages. The only issue is some of the pages require cutting but the back isnât blank so you miss out on that page.

Le falta coherencia en la jalonación de los contenidos, pero se puede utilizar de forma aislada, en función de las palabras que se estén trabajando.
