This is the first of 3 books by Nancy Linde, and they are my absolute favorites of this genre (brain, mind activities).The book has many types of puzzles: ALMA’S SHOPPING LIST – anagrams ANAGRAMS CLASSIC RIDDLES COMPOUND WORD SEARCH – Put two pictures together to make a compound word. I buy these for my mom who needs to keep all the time with his mind working and it works perfectly because the size is great. Actually all the family enjoy solving everything and the topics are different and mix it and good, and the quality of the book is amazing. I recommended at the same time, we are learning so much and spending great family time

I’ll admit I bought this for me, I’m 53. Lame I know but I’d rather do something to make my brain work better than play a game on my tablet. Plus yes, I do actually like activity books. Like I said, lame. Anyway I can honestly say this is the best activity book I’ve ever bought. This is not the average activity book not soduko, maze, find the difference, word search…over and over again. I opened this book and by the the 10th page I was back on Amazon seeing if this author had created anymore books like this. Thankfully, yes! I ordered it right then. I am the 3rd chapter now and it’s still as fun as when I first started it. These “puzzles” actually make you think, some harder than others, lol. Scrambled words, name fruits, animals, countries from A-Z in 2 minutes. Things that happened in history. Words with oo or zz in them. Baseball terms. I’ve only come across 3 word finds so far! Like I said, different. There are way too many to name. Over 300 pages of different activities. I can’t say enough good things about this book. You’ll just have to try it for yourself, you won’t be sorry. I’ve actually learned some new things. The pages are a good quality paper, printed front and back and color not just black and white.

A little outdated for younger folks
Bought this as something to exercise my brain during summer break (Iâm a teacher). Love all the activities, but the ones related to pop culture are definitely for a much older population lol Iâm 30 yrs old & have to skip the majority of those because I have absolutely no clue what references are being made. Overall, most of it is still doable and fun!

Brain massage for mid 50’s
I like to do a few puzzles from this book before bed when I am not quite sleepy but want something to do until I get there. I grab this book and do a few puzzles at night before going to bed. There are an assortment of puzzles so every page is an exciting adventure. Not too easy. Not too hard. A good variety mix for various intellect. It is also a good learning tool. The puzzles are quite fun!!

Best for ages 50+
I purchased this book for my husband (31M) and I, (28F) to use. We love puzzles, trivia, quizzes, etc and have been looking for a book like this to keep our minds stimulated.This book has a variety of different puzzles and challenges to stimulate the brain. Unfortunately, much of it has references to pop-culture of a different generation than ours and if you weren’t around back then, this kind of information wouldn’t be something you would be able to know. I’ve provided a few photos for examples. There are questions that reference movies, people, shows, topics, etc from the 50s. This has made it hard to complete many of the puzzles because it’s not a matter of how long it will take to recall the information, we simply do not know what they are talking about. It sucks that it isn’t more inclusive to slightly younger people.This would be perfect for people 50+ though! So, if you are considering purchasing this and you are in that target age group/audience then I think you will really enjoy this book. If you are 40 and under, you may find yourself in the same boat as us, where we see a question like…” Rock Hudson’s frequent costar” and are scratching our heads asking “Who’s Rock Hudson?”.On a positive note, we have been googling most of this stuff that we aren’t familiar with and are now instead learning about the past Ha-ha!If we hadn’t already written in it, I would return it for something more relatable. (:

This is a large collection of puzzles with a great variety of puzzle types and varying skill levels. Most puzzles and answers seem fairly easy (which give you a sense of accomplishment), however there’s always a few in each puzzle that are a little more difficult and make you think a little harder, which is the whole point. I would recommend this book.
