Are sock charms a thing? I haven’t heard of this trend but I picked them up out of curiosity. My initial thought about putting them on socks was wouldn’t they be heavy and uncomfortable? These are not at all heavy – they must be basically acrylic based. The single ornament (pearls, etc – the bottom 3 rows of pins in the picture) have metal tie-tac type backs – so those are going to be the thickest to wear on your socks and may irritate your ankles and be scratchy. The other ornaments have very thin pin backs so they will be much flatter against your legs. The sweater pins are pretty thick so while they should work ok for sweaters, I’d think twice about trying to pin them to a blouse.Lastly – the metal color of the pins is not a very pretty gold – it’s like halfway between brassy and rose-gold. The “rhinestone” adornments are acrylic but still pretty bight and colorful. The clear ones in the butterfly stickpin are pretty cloudy and dull, and that pointed end of the stickpin – I’d again caution against putting it through any delicate fabric.”Junk socks charms” is I would say, fairly accurate.
