These have a lot more rubber, are lasting a long time, and fit my North Pak Trekking Poles.All the aftermarket smaller cylindrical style ones were absolutely JUNK including Park Ridge Outfitters and Shine Trip brands so went to these larger feet. I used to trim these into a cylindrical shape with an exacto knife. After awhile, I didn’t bother but some one else might like the slimer style.

Fits nicely on my Trail Buddy walking stick, however it Doesnât tighten to a stop pointâ¦in other words, u can over tighten, then it becomes loose again.The tip is shaped like a âwalking bootââ¦similar to a real walking boot used for foot or leg type injuries. It provides a longer base contact with the ground versus the regular round tip and has a rolling forward type motion. The positive is that it provides a larger contact area with the ground. The only drawback I see is that the tip will lose alignment due to not being able to tighten to a stopâ¦youâll have to adjust the front of the âbootâ with your stickâs grip so that itâs positioned correctly.

Most of these pole tips are just a hunk of rubber and will develop a hole from the pole’s tip, but not this one…extra engineering went into it. There is a hole internal that supports the pole tip and a bit of a hard material surrounding that hole. It totally works where the pole tip will no longer break through the bottom of the tip. The footing material is great. The only caveat to this is that the rubber tip rotates a bit during use. Not a deal breaker though, kinda expected ’cause of that hard material inside to prevent poking through. I’m very happy with this product!!

I suppose that these are durable, so that’s good. But, they seem like a VERY hard plastic-y material. If they say it’s rubber, then I won’t disagree. But it’s not the pliable, bendable hard rubber that you might think. They feel like hard, hard plastic.On wet pavement, these slip and slide – it’s incredibly annoying. Plus they are as loud as plain metal tips on concrete or paved surfaces. If you are 100% in the woods, then they’ll work just fine for you.I’m not really complaining for a buck a piece, it’s just that these could be explained better in the advertising. Calling them “rubber tips” leads one to think of a softer feel, which these definitely are not.
