These stakes are indeed heavy duty. I have been using them for a couple of years now and can say that these are not only very heavy, but they are worry free tent stakes. You do not have to worry if you tent will still be there because the stakes pulled out in a storm or in a heavy wind. These stakes will hold. I tend to camp more in paces where the ground is rock hard. Over the decades, I have bent and broken countless tent stakes from pounding aluminum and plastic stakes into the hard earth.With the purchase of these stakes, I am confident that I have purchased the last set of stakes that I will ever need. They are very heavy, so these are for car camping only. (You certainly don’t want to have to haul these over long distances in a backpack.)Finally, the design is simple and functional. The hole near the head of the tent stake is the perfect size to slip another tent stake through. The stake through the hole of a stake in the ground creates a handle in order to pull them out of the earth. This makes easy work of removing them when breaking camp.I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend these tent stakes for staking down both tents and tarps.

Excellent, heavy-duty stakes that work great in soft and hard dirt. No bend whatsoever with a rubber mallet, and held up perfectly in high winds. Thankful for a solid product after using other subpar, flimsy stakes that allowed our tents/pop-ups to collapse on themselves in similar high winds. Worth every penny to invest in only these!

These are vastly superior to the tent stakes that come with tents. These are heavy duty and are great for tougher soil conditions. I use a 4lb mini sledge and they hold up well. The paint does chip but thatâs to be expected. Iâve boughten 3 sets so far and leave them in my tent/ez up bags

These are solid nails with a hook on them. I wouldn’t pound these into Solid Ground because the chances of getting them back out at this length would be taking a chance. They are not Lightweight by any means but if you need something really solid these are the ones. Finish is great. Nice quality.

Had problem with compacted ground these worked great
