Fun to work with!
My 6 year old twins and 9 year old really enjoyed these alphabet and reading set. They liked trying to spell different words with the letters. These letters allowed learning to be fun.

Interactive Tool for Word Building
This set comes with two sided, dry erase cards (you DO need your own markers and erasers). You can read the word on it’s own and in a sentence. Then you can write the word with a dry erase marker and use wooden letters to write it out. It can be a little overwhelming to choose from all the letters of the alphabet, so it seemed better to start with just a few extra letters if they are just learning to spell. There are two levels to the cards, 3 and 4 letter words. It can be a tad hard for kids to fit the words in the slot to write if they have a tendency to write larger. A couple cards had a weird, plastic film that wasn’t cut all the way even with the edge. Overall, it’s a fun, interactive tool for learning.

great tool to work on words for beginners
I ordered this as my son has expressed wanting to learn how to read. He isn’t in school yet so I thought that this would be a perfect tool to get started and I was right. Its hands on and has many aspects which is very engaging for him and he loves to practice spelling and writing out the words. He doesn’t even realize that he’s ‘learning’.

cards and letters for matching and spelling
I got these for my grandson, but he’s not yet even two, so he’s too young to use it yet. I envision within a few months he will be able to place the wooden letters on the matching letters on the cards, since he already recognizes letters (although I dont know if he knows that’s what they are).There are 30 cards. One side of each is Level 1. Among the words, though, are ones that are not straightforward cvc with a short vowel (zoo, egg, bee, toy, cow, ice, boy). Level 2 on the other side has four letter words.The cards also have a place to write the words with a dry erase marker but does not come with one.

Not As Great As I Was Hoping
I got this for my Kindergarten aged daughter. She was just starting to practice with sight words and I thought this might be something fun for her to practice with. When the cards arrived they looked really nice. The only real issue with them is that not all of the words were intuitive. My daughter needed my help a few times through to fully understand what some of that words were. I wish they would have been slightly easier words to understand right from the start so she would have been able to work on them more independently. Either way she was able to use them with in a few rounds by herself which was great.The wooden letters were a different story. Some of them are like missing large chunks out of one side. Others are broken all the way around. Some had sharper edges which I was able to smooth out. Overall they just weren’t great. For this reason some of the cards can’t be used because the letter is either broken to a point where it doesn’t look like the letter or broken to being unsafe. Overall not an ideal set and would probably look elsewhere.

Makes learning fun for kids
Luckily I have tons of dry erase markers on hand because they are not included with this. Your kids can easily write the word& it erases very easily. I love how hands on it is, the kids have a fun time searching for the correct letter they need. A bag is included to store all the material so it doesnât get lost. We absolutely love this item.

the kids had a great time using these. even our 4-year-old could use them. Love that each card has the kids read, write, identify and spell out each word with the wooden tiles. only let down was that it did not come with an erasable marker to use.
