Great information if you are TTC!
I have been TTC for almost a year now and I like to research but even with all the research I have done on my own I have learned new things reading this book. I found it really helpful that there was nutrition information in it beyond the classic “just take a prenatal”. The author also recommends tests you may want to get done prior to having a child many of which I had never heard of. I appreciate that the book goes beyond the bare minimum level of care that most women receive when TTC. Overall it’s a helpful book with lots of good information in it that I would recommend to anyone who is TTC or is considering TTC within the next year or so!

The fertility and pregnancy prep guidebook we’ve all been waiting for
As a clinical nutritionist and a mom I am so grateful that Alexandria has written this book. I’ve seen too many couples struggle (including myself!) to get the support they needed on their fertility journeys, often left with limited answers or support. We’re often led to believe there is nothing we can do to improve our chances of getting pregnant but that is simply not true! In fact we can not only improve our chances but we can also improve the health of our future baby! It’s time we put the power to heal and improve our fertility into our own hands. This book empowers you to do that with a step by step plan that includes diet, lifestyle and testing protocols. As someone who went through this healing process myself before being able to conceive my daughter, I can confidently say the prep time is worth it!

    So educational!
I knew diet was important, but this really addressed everything you should consider when trying to conceive. I will carry all these nuggets of info with me and probably re-read for each pregnancy

    #1 Pre-conception book to read
I have read several pre-conception books and this was the first one that gave me the information and confidence I needed to move forward. My doctor kept telling me just to get pregnant because I was getting older and it was better to be younger. I knew I was not in good health and needed to take care of myself. This book reinforced that I made the right decision and gave me even more tips on how to best prepare myself and my husband for pregnancy. Too many people brush off pre-conception and don’t understand the long-term implications. I hope more people have the opportunity to read this amazing book and learn how to best set themselves up for pregnancy as well as setting up their future child for a healthy life!

JUST WOW. Required reading for everyone
I’m a physician and also have a background in functional medicine, so consider myself relatively well-educated in the space. But even I. WAS. FLOORED. by what I learned in this book. It’s like a practical, modern day blueprint for a healthy conception and a healthy child Because it’s quite clear, as DeVito puts it, “we need a better way” than the outdated model we’ve been sold. This should be required reading for any one who plans to have a family of their own one day, no matter how far off or soon that is. The book is grounded in a plethora of scientific research, but DeVito’s writing style is so approachable and engaging; gems of empowering information everywhere. I’ll definitely be gifting this to friends.

Awesome resource for those planning to get pregnant
This book would be the perfect read for someone seeking to get pregnant in the next 6 months to 2 years. Loaded with actionable steps and amazing insights but also an easy and engaging read, I would highly recommend 9 Months is Not Enough. This book would also make a great gift or book to share with the young couples in your family and friend groups. Pre-conception education and nutrition is an idea whose time has come.

    Excellent resource
I’ve been giving copies of this book to friends, family, and patients who are looking for actionable help surrounding fertility.Beyond “take a prenatal” most women trying to conceive aren’t given much guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, or even on their partner’s health. This book debunks the challenges surrounding fertility & conception in a modern world – and walks the reader through step-by-step, evidence-based solutions to support preconception. This is a brilliant foundation for any woman looking to improve their fertility as well as clinicians interested in closing the fertility gap.

This book is all filler and repeated information throughout, with the only worth while pages being the summaries at the end of each chapter that would include the key points – which are only basic common sense points not groundbreaking new information (ie. Eat healthy and don’t drink alcohol to prepare, you can check how healthy you are before getting pregnant….).Every other paragraph is a sales pitch, telling you to book in with her company for a preconception test, this is literally a book to sell that product and brand.Don’t waste your money.
