A Is for Alien: An ABC Book
A Brilliantly Spooky Alphabet Journey for Fans Big and Small!“A Is for Alien” is hands down one of the most unique and delightful ABC books I’ve come across. As both a Little Golden Book and a nod to the classic Alien franchise, it seamlessly blends nostalgia, education, and just the right amount of spooky fun. This book is perfect for both longtime fans of the Alien universe and those looking to introduce their little ones to a new way of learning the alphabet. Each letter corresponds to something from the Alien films, and the clever word choices are sure to bring a smile to any adult fan. Despite its origins in a dark and suspenseful movie series, the tone of the book manages to stay lighthearted and playful, making it perfect for young readers. The illustrations are a standout feature, combining the eerie essence of the Alien world with a style that’s appropriate for children. They’re detailed enough to evoke the mysterious atmosphere of the films, but softened in a way that keeps it fun and engaging.I love how this book works on two levels – as a traditional ABC book for kids and as a delightful throwback for adults. Whether you’re reading it with a child or enjoying it as a collector’s item, “A Is for Alien” is an imaginative and educational experience. It’s a true gem for both fans of the franchise and anyone looking for a fresh take on learning the alphabet.Highly recommended for parents, sci-fi lovers, and anyone who appreciates a creative twist on the typical ABC book!

A Real “Little Golden Book” that is True to the Alien Story
At first I thought this was a joke. It’s not. It’s a real book, really from “Little Golden Books”, and it’s both well written and clever. There is zero gore or horror, but there definitely IS tension in the very simple narrative. The artwork is well done, and the wording is appropriate for preschoolers and young readers. It also turns out that there are other “Little Golden Books” that are science fiction-based, such as several in the Star Wars universe.I think this is a great way to get little ones involved in reading “not what the kindergarten classroom is limited to”.

    Cute and sort of hilarious
The drawings are adorable and tells the story a little out of order but the combination of the serious story and the cute pictures is wonderful. I love this little book. Not really for children. 😁

The Perfect Introduction to Xenomorphs for Your Little One
Ah yes, nothing says “bedtime story” like introducing your child to the wonderful world of acid-spitting aliens and existential dread, but hey, education starts young, right? A Is for Alien takes the classic ABC formula and adds a charming twist: teaching your kids the alphabet while also subtly preparing them for the horrors of deep space. From “A is for Alien” to “X is for Xenomorph,” this book had my little one enthralled—and slightly concerned about what’s hiding under the bed. The illustrations are beautifully done, and the cute, kid-friendly depiction of Ripley holding Jonesy is a lovely touch. The “friendly” alien lurking in the background will surely make junior think twice about life on other planets. It’s a bold move by Little Golden Books, but honestly, who needs “A is for Apple” when “A is for Alien” gives you so much more excitement (and potential therapy sessions down the road)?Bottom line: It’s fun, it’s educational, and if you’re like me, you’ll have a blast explaining why Mommy screams whenever a facehugger appears. Five stars!

    Not too scary
It’s a very cute and toddler friendly ABCs book. F for facehugger, J for Jones the kitty cat, Q for quiet, X for xenomorph. ❤️

    Funny and perfect!!
This is an ABC book Alien style! I bought it and read to my two year old granddaughter. It’s great how it makes the movie into something fun and kid friendly. F is for “face hugger” but don’t let it hug your face. LOL

Entertaining for both children and adults
I got this book mostly out of curiosity. I knew it was a Golden Book so it had to be appropriate for kids, right? I was right. I don’t know how, but they made the xenomorph cute. There are also plenty of references to the source material that children won’t get but made me chuckle. This is a must have for sci-fi fans and future geeks alike.

I never though they’d make such a book lol. Its so cute despite the movie being so scary. Its for me, not for any children though this would be a good way to introduce older children to the franchise.Happy 45th anniversary to the movie.

And bought it for myself as an adult fan of the franchise. It did not disappoint! Hard to imagine how any child would understand it, but I really don’t think that’s the point 😀
