Excellent
My 5 year old told me she wanted to learn more about ancient Egypt so we got this book. I am super impressed. It was everything I was hoping for and more. It has a really good level of detail without being too much or losing her attention. The drawings are great. It does a great job of breaking down and explaining all kinds of things that continue to fascinate us today – as well as explaining how people in Egypt lived and what life was like. And huge bonus – they have many fun activities to do scattered throughout the book like making papyrus or mummifying an apple. My 8 year old loves it too. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful book!
Our 3-generational family is going to Egypt so I did a several day âEgypt Campâ for the grandkids, 5-15 years old, to help prepare. I ordered 12 childrenâs books on Egypt as resources. A number of them were from National Geographic. But this beautiful book was the best! The varied formats made the information very accessible and clear. And it included more information and interesting detail than the other sources. But again very easy to read and use. Great illustrations throughout! Kuddos to author Alexander and illustrator Mulvanny!!!

Perfect introduction to Ancient Egypt for kids
I have two books from this series so far and really love them. I bought this book because children donât learn about ancient cultures in Elementary School and I thought my kids 6 & 9 would find it interesting. This book has wonderful illustrations and just enough information to fascinate. My kids ask for me to read this book to them at night and I have caught them perusing it on their own multiple times. Highly recommended!
I read to relax –
Nicely illustrated with good content!
Bought as gift for grandson who likes things Egyptian. He is not a big reader but I hope this will tempt him. Has definite potential for that

A must-have for anyone interested in ancient Egypt
This handsomely produced work is marketed as a children’s book, but it’s actually for children ( or adults ) of all ages. In clear text and wonderful illustrations, Egyptology brings to life an important ancient culture and offers delicious tidbits of information about everything from mummies and pyramids to recipes for making your own salt dough amulets. For those who cannot go to Egypt, or will soon have that pleasure, Alexander’s book is great guide to an important aspect of its history. As an adult reader I learned a great deal, and the book’s hieroglyphics poster was a welcome mind teaser. I highly recommend this book to any curious reader in search of entertainment or edification.

I love this series!
I have a mission to buy every book in this series, because they are so great for homeschooling! I love them and the glossaries they include! My daughter is very interested in Egyptian history, so this was definitely a must buy. They are easy to read and use as a launching point for further study. I just wish they had one on science as a whole (not just natural history, the night sky, and the environment) and hope more will be released in the future!

Book is lived by our budding almost 11 year old Egyptologist, who is also looking forward to doing the activities mentioned in the book.

Bought for my grandchildren 17,14, 11 (Mainly the 11 year old but the older ones learnt stuff from it too). They went to Egypt on holiday so I bought them this as background reading before they went. It was fun and informative and they learnt something about where they were going without it being too schooly
