Love this little book
Great little book about anxiety. I work with a lot of kids with this issue. This is a cute quick story regarding this issue. Easy to read, but doesnât feel too âbabyishâ and then there are a heap of ways to practice it in a session and modify it to the client for their needs. IF they donât mind drawing on their hands, you can put a âpeaceâ spot right on there with green marker, or draw one on paper, do it with stickers- fun and practical.

It’s a neat, WELL WRITTEN book! The pictures are simple, yet effective!
I had high hopes that this would be a game changing book for my son, but he didn’t really take to the contents/breathing practices like I expected. We read it twice and now it just sits on his shelf.

I am loving this series of books for my Kindy classroom. The books are written in a very simple way for young children to understand – yet it is addressing very complex concepts. It has the right balance, where I can follow up with a variety of activities that address anxiety and I can already see the benefits in the every day running of my classroom. I really love how the author uses the word ANXIETY…. there aren’t many books out there that use the correct word. It is very helpful for me as a teacher to actually call the emotions exactly what they are – no need to fluff it up etc….. This really helps kids to identify the emotion, take ownership of it and then the calming strategy at the end is simple yet effective. I would love to see a box set of these books that we can then order for all our Kindy classrooms in the district.
