Great Retro Feel
As a retired social studies, teacher, and the father of four grandchildren, I can truly say that my grandchildren love when I read them these books. The rhyming pattern is great, and the illustrations are superb. Simple stories, that convey the messages of life. Check out his other two books as well.

Great Adventure
What a great adventure for my class. I used this as a read aloud with my 3rd graders, they loved the rhythm and rhyme and I loved that they were engaged in this book. Several reads after the first read and they were noticing the illustrations, which are helpful in visualizing the story.

Simple, cute
Cute little camping story about Mr. Magee and his dog. While itâs a good book I wouldnât recommend paying much for it, itâs just as good as a âcheck it out from libraryâ instead of an âadd to home libraryâ if you have that option. If you donât, it would make a good book to occasionally read but I donât see it becoming one of my kids favorites anytime soon.
