excellent educational “game” for kids
i try to only buy games that will foster early learning skills for my 4yr old so i got the set as one of her birthday gifts. she loves playing with them in the car on our commute home or road trips. it’s also a great way to occupy her when we’re in waiting rooms, restaurants or wherever noise is acceptable yet isn’t necessarily child friendly. the cards come in a little box w/ carrying strap and its always one of the items she’ll grab for the car. my daughter just finished a yr in a 3K classroom so she’s been introduced to early math concepts and can complete some of the cards accurately but the majority of them are a little challenging. what’s great about the cards is that if you purchase the talking dog/cat pen that goes w/ it, your child can keep selecting the options until they get it right. they’ll then learn the concept by repetition so i don’t have to help her with the answers, again making it a great game for occupying my child while i’m driving, conversing in a restaurant etc.

Great quality cards and box
These cards are a great add on to the base Hot Dots set. My daughter can entertain herself for hours with these cards, and they make an excellent car activity. The box they come in is great quality and is perfect for carrying around – the pen (sold separate!!!) pits perfectly in the empty space in the boxThe card prompts are clear enough that my 3 year old can figure out the questions by herself. There are only a small handful of cards where I have to guide her on the prompts. If I sit down and work with my 2 year old, she can even answer the prompts, so I would say these cards are a great hit for multiple ages!

Fun learning
Great fun learning but loose cards have a tendency to get scattered and bent. Would be better if on a ring that the cards stay together on or can be individually removed.

Got this for my 3 yr old. He loves it! Super easy to use for him. And he loves all the sounds it makes. Great way to help them learn! The only thing was the pen had some scratches in it that someone used black marker to try and cover up. Doesnt affect how it works, just thought it was strange since I was buying a new one not used.

Fun way to learn
We have tried other products to help our 5 year old learn his number and letters, and learn to read and he was bored with them all. But he loves Hot Dots and has fun with it. He learns and is entertained at the same time. He wants to use it all the time. After a few uses he was doing it by himslef without my help. And after a week of using this he knows much more than he did before. I wish I found this product before I tried all of the others.

My daughter who is turning 4 loves these. We bought her the pen (sold separate) and she totally figured it outThey do need you to read the cards to them but then start seeing patterns and can use a bit on own. You can tell she is learningSuper impressed

Love these cards that were purchased after browsing on Amazon and reading reviews. My 3 year old loves them and will sit happily working her way through them. This is a great starter set for numbers and counting…is there one for numbers to 20 and beyond I wonder? She loves the fact that they are interactive and I love that they are self correcting, but at this stage I work with her on them as she cant yet read the questions. I think the cards are great value and a very good purchase that she will use for a long time. You must buy the pen separately.
