If you use an electric shaver, you need this.
I have an expensive shaver I got years ago. I was using Williams Lectric liquid shave before using the shaver. The downside is, it tends to clog the blades, and you have to wash it out repeatedly. People said, to buy Afta lotion, as it dries quickly and doesn’t clog the shaver. After I bought it from Walmart, I loved using it.Walmart stopped carrying the lotion, and so I bought it here. Ten bottles will last me a long time. While it’s expensive, it’s worth the price. I don’t get after burns. The shaver doesn’t get clogged. Many times, I tend to forget using after shave lotion or liquid because the pre-lotion shave doesn’t make your skin burn.In the end, buying the bottles here on Amazon is worth every penny. But I wish Walmart would sell them again at the stores because it was around two dollars for a bottle.

I’ve used this regularly and can verify it is great stuff. However, the shipper did not seal these containers in any way beyond the normal lids, so it concerns me they could leak.

I usually shave with a double edged razor, but I occasionally use an electric razor if Iâm in a hurry. Because my face isnât accustomed to shaving with an electric, I tend to get a fair amount of irritation. So, I was curious to see if Alta would help.Interestingly, Alta is listed as a pre-shave conditioner, but the instructions on the bottle refer to using it as an aftershave. I applied a small amount of it (about dime sized) on my beard and waited several minutes for it to dry. I then used my electric shaver to shave. I noticed Alta added significant drag to my shaver, making it a little more difficult to shave. But there was absolutely zero irritation afterward. I left it on my face as it felt very good on my skin, and it definitely helps to moisturize. It has a very strong scent, which I like, and it will definitely linger. It remained even when I washed my face again many hours later. The next time I shaved, I used Alta as a preshave conditioner for my double edged razor. I didnât let it dry completely since I was going to be wetting my face to shave. I just applied my usual shaving cream afterward and shaved. Alta did seem to make that smoother and more comfortable. After rinsing my face, the scent lingered, but it wasnât as strong as it was when I used it with my electric shaver.Overall, Alta really is a great product to prevent irritation from shaving with both an electric shaver and a double edged razor. And it would be useful as an aftershave no matter what you shave with. But there are definitely some trade offs in terms of increasing drag during electric shaving and its strong scent that may not be appreciated by everyone.

It works. Didnât think I needed it but found it worth it.
I like this a lot. I had been using an electric razor for a while (having finally converted from razors) and I didnât do much to prep. I pretty much just wiped down with a wet wash cloth to remove any excess oil and dirt. However, I had an old bottle of Williams âLectric Shave from when I had tried going electric many many years ago. I thought I would give it a try. It actually helped! The problem was, that liquid was a mess to apply. I would absolutely cover both hands and the bottle in it and get a few splashes on the counter despite trying desperately to apply it neatly.So, I went looking and found the Afta. I love it. Since itâs a gel/cream the application is easy and mess free. It conditions the skin so it isnât so dry when I finish shaving. It makes the shaving process smoother, quicker and with less friction. It literally uses less battery to do the same shaving. The razor will drop 5% battery for a shave that would previously use 15%. And Iâm not entirely sure because Iâm not sure how I could objectively test it but it seems to me that the shave is closer.I almost forgot! In case youâre wondering about the scent! It smells very similar to the original Old Spice scent. Not exactly the same but very very similar.

Hard to find but clearly the best for the job.
If you use an electric razor, this is the best pre-shave lotion to apply. It makes your electric razor glide easilyover your skin and gives a great “non irritating” shave. Can’t be beat. Hard to find and I was so happy to finally see it on Amazon…..I bought 8 of them!, never to run out again.Bernie

I have always used Electric shavers for 60 years now and have always been buying different brands of pre-electric shave lotions of different makes during my travels over-seas because these were not available in India. Due to the Pandemic we haven’t travelled abroad and thought of checking availability on Amazon ! I ordered these and found it to be most effective and better than all of these used thus far. So I made a second order as well !!
