Needs more letters for Sentences
I really like the concept of this toy but I think there needs to be more letters to make sentences. We needed more letter Eâs to form sentences. The quality was good!

Magnet on the wrong side
Like another reviewer, the magnet was put on the wrong side of the board so the lined side cannot be used. Very disappointing.

Fun educational board game like activity
This is a well built fun way to help teach kids to learn to spell. The magnet function, pictures and surface board make it fun and clear to follow. The words written below the images provide kids with a template of how to spell the word. It is better used to spell words and does not have enough letters to spell sentences. For my young child who is 3, I definitely need to guide her and motivate her to use it, and I wonder if older kids would enjoy this or would also need supervision while using it. I just wish there was a better way to store the letters once you pop them out of the pages they come in. When we need to find a grouping of letters we need to dig through the whole box to find it.

Clearly was used before
Product itself was great. However, the box had clearly been opened before as some of the things were scattered about some were still packaged. A couple of the letter tiles were scuffed up and cards bent. Didnât have time to send back and wait for a new one to be sent but a little bummed to have paper for a new product and receive an already opened product.

Wonderful learning tool!
I love this set! It comes with so much and everything is very high quality. It all seems made very well and very durable. The set includes small, square, magnetic letter tiles for every letter of the alphabet as well as almost all ending sound word families, diagraphs and blends. It also comes with some picture cards that depict word you can spell with the letter tiles belonging to some if the word families included. It all comes in a very sturdy box that opens up to become a magnetic board the magnets can be used on! The magnets stick nicely to the board without sliding off and there is a even a magnetic frame to hold the word cards onto the board. I love that everything fits inside the box for portability and to make cleaning up and putting it away so easy. This would be great for any classroom, pre-k through 2nd grade.I teach kindergarten and have used this in small groups and as a reading center activity. The set can be used to practice beginning sounds, word families, sound isolation and blending. My students also love just using the magnets to spell words they know. This is a fun, hands on way to get kids practicing important early reading skills.Overall, I highly recommend this set for home or school use. You get so much and, along with the quality, this makes it well worth the price!
