I love how the cards have both long and short vowel cards. Very convenient that the long vowel cards have a yellow star in the corner to make separating the deck easy! The instructions give directions for both longer game play and shorter game play which is a plus for parents when kids want to play but time is restricting us! My 4 year old isnât very interested in learning his letters. This has been the first thing I have tried that he actually has fun while also is learning to recognize the different letters. Would definitely recommend if youâre looking for a game to help child learn letters!

I received my cards today and the quality is great just like a real deck of cards and it’s colorful!! I’m reading the games now so I can begin playing with my toddlers tomorrow morning. Regarding playing ABC Go Fish – There are two letter pairs in the deck (see photo) and the pictures are all different so the kid cannot ask âgot any apples?â They have to say lowercase or uppercase and the letter. I thought that was smart.

This deck of Alphabet Slap Jack Cards is a perfect way to further immerse a young child into the world of letters and their sounds. What child, especially what boy, doesn’t love Slap Jack? But there are several other games included to play with this deck. My 4 year old grandson loves them. The cards can be used as an active way to prepare a child for reading or as a passive way with the learning taking place only as necessary to play a particular game. The cards are good quality. There are individual cards for both upper and lower case letters. My grandson created a game in which we took turns drawing cards and placing them on the table in alphabetical order. When he forgot the name of a particular letter, he pulled out his alphabet tracing board, found the matching letter and, since he knows the alphabet song, was able to name the letter and put it in its place. Great game! I am a former teacher. This set of cards is more than worth their cost.
