Sturdy, easy to use
Stick is lightweight and very sturdy. Easy to collapse for travel or storage, yet expands in 2 seconds. Easy adjustable height. Comes with a spare tip, and a “mud/sand” flange for soft walking areas like the beach. Very nice for the money.

I got this hiking pole because sometimes I like to hike with a stick and sometimes I want to stash it away. This is super easy to put together/collapse and fits perfectly in my small hiking backpack. It took a few minutes to figure out how the pole fits together. The instructions tell you what needs to be done but it took me a few minutes to understand what the instructions were trying to tell me.The pole is sturdy and can be assembled in less than 30 seconds once removed from the nice carrying bag. The height can be adjusted from 42 inches to 49 inches.The pole comes with 3 tips that can be easily installed. It is not that the tips are cheap, but like anything that is touching the ground a lot, eventually it will wear out.It would be nice to know how to purchase additional tips in the future when the tips I have wear out.

I was hesitant on buying this after reading some of the bad reviews. I wanted to get a walking staff for my 89-year-old mom, who likes to hike on short trails using a walking staff. We were planning a trip, and I needed to get a walking staff that could fold into her suitcase. This was ideal.Some reviews stated that this broke on their long treks. Some complained that they only received one pole. Some complained that the sections were loose and did not interlock. I looked at the description of the pole, and it states that it is one piece which, translated into basic English, means you get one piece â you know, one pole. No, I wouldnât take this on a long trek because itâs only one pole, and I normally carry two trekking poles.Some reviews stated that it was loose and couldnât get the poles to lock. The pole sections are held together by a steel cable which is better than a bungee cord as it will not wear or get cut at the ends of the sections when folded. What puts tension on the cable to pull all the sections together must either be a spring or a heavy-duty bungee cord in the handle section. To put tension on the cable, you have to pull out the section in the handle until it snaps to lock. This places tension on the steel cord to lock the sections together. The other sliding section handle allows you to extend the pole to a longer length. Itâs activated by a tension collar which is loosened by flipping a lever away from the pole. Very simple.I showed mom how to use it. Sheâs 89 years old and can open and collapse it on her own. She prefers her other staff, which is only two pieces but likes the fact that this one is more compact for travel, and she likes that it is purple â her favorite color.As an avid hiker and backpacker, I wouldnât take this on any long extended trips as I prefer two poles. But as a compact walking staff for use on developed trails and walking around town, it works- says my mom.

This hiking pole is just the greatest for traveling. It collapses easily to a size suitable to fit in carry-on luggage for air travel. Likewise it is easy to assemble for use walking or hiking. I have used it many times for walking on easy or rough terrain. It is sturdy, very useable. The height of the pole can be easily adjusted to oneâs needs. Excellent product. I like that this item is lightweight when I go walking with it. Easy to fold up but I leave it extended in my car. Iâm not sure how long it will last but it is helping me with my balance after Iâd recovered from a knee injury. It doesnât have the sturdiness of a cane so if you need something that will aide in weight bearing then this is not for you. It did come with a couple of other footings and a bag. Can easily adjust the height. Overall it does as advertised and am happy with it.
